I am at the cusp of 70. When I was a little girl in the late 1940s, my parents and I went over to the Bear Mountain State Park on a regular basis. Walking the beautiful trails, the streams where I fished for guppies. We lived in a walk up in Astoria, Queens, my parents got us out the apartment and we headed off to Bear Mountain almost every weekend. Such a beautiful place. Thanks for posting. Janice
