  • mas que gambiarra!!!!

  • what a rising angle lol

  • fat albert just got the lap band ever since then we havent been able to keep up lol

  • That's fat Albert!!!!!!

  • I've got the weirdest boner right now.

  • listen to this with beats audio. AMPLIFIED BASE

  • Like if you thought at the start of the video it was day, then as soon as you get down the airstrip, it turns to night....

  • LOL VTECH!

  • I watch these guys fly every year.

  • @Meerkat218 I used to watch them @ el toro Before they closed it.

  • parts? yeah..cancel my order on that nitrous kit ..i have something else in mind..

  • Golly . . . .

  • wow .. i woulda wet my thingy

  • the is nothing HD about this

  • Cool as anything to see in person, the airforce made several mods like that during NAM for extractions....my father was a spector crewman, use to hang off the loading deck while in flight and tell the piolts which way to manuver to avoid the incoming SAM missles.

  • why it needs rotator if it has rocket engine...freaky stuff

  • And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how fat Albert gets airborne!

  • ah su pinche madre!!!

  • is that a Blue angles C-130?

  • @Xhunter987 yea

  • @Xhunter987 yes

  • I want a JATO for my Nova!

  • "This is the United States Navy, where do you want your shipment of kickass delivered?"

  • is that for a boost or just for show?

  • @chick3n81 They're Rocket-Assisted Take-Off rockets. It creates more speed. More speed = more lift = faster take-off.

  • I think: Must that be? Because of the costs and sure i like peace.

  • :The relativ atom masses are to handel (addit) with (g/mol=x*10^-36) for the exactly molecularmass, divide it by the number of atoms and verb they paralell to the exactly ratio you want. You can to addit the sames atoms before do the paralell verbs.

It is a kind of magic sure.

Amazon.de sell an periodensystem with relative atommasses and more (study knowledge).

I like the texas instrument calculators (not the cheapest.)

  • Very impressive, especially at dusk. The terms JATO and RATO are used interchangeably to describe this event and related equipment. Jet implies air-breathing so you would expect to call it RATO for rocket-assisted takeoff, however according to NASA, the word jet can describe combustion gases issuing from a reaction engine, i.e. rocket. So it becomes semantics as to what you call it. Either way, it sure gets your attention, I was lucky enough to see it once.

  • No Big China give little america money!! There will be no little america army in the world!! U.S is a big day dreamer, always ask Big China for money for their Alien porject!! U.S must say BIg China is their big DADDY!!

  • he robbert, you have any good ideas how we could get this thing airborn? hmm, we could try some of my rockets

  • V1 ....V...WTF GAHHHH!

  • Well that's nice and peacefHOLY SHIT ROCKETS WHAT THE FUCK

  • Nice! What did that cost in fuel though, $5,000 lol???? Seen that show in person at McGuires AFB in Jersey. Always fun.

  • Its not JATO, its called "CNXB" (Chuck Norris Xtra Boost).

  • pause vid

    hold left

    press up

    play snake while loading :D

    (thumbs up)

  • @toiletwaterisgood shut up.

  • hey idiots.....especially ""retired navy somthinortheother"that thing its a "show plane " with an advanced runway assist device istalled so it can mock a rocket ship type takeoff for the kids at the airshows ,its a lot of fun but you would never see it in regular service ,its a one off ,i was named after curt watson ,a blue angel from crossville tennessee,my home town.I also installed an icemaker in his moms house, yep,i hang my hat on that little moment....its really that pathetic...

  • @jcedozer Fired simultaneously, the JATO bottles allow the mammoth transport aircraft to takeoff within 1,500 feet, climb at a 45-degree angle, and propel it to an altitude of 1,000 feet in approximately 15 seconds. Getting Fat Albert airborne in minimal time and distance simulates conditions in hostile environments or on short, unprepared runways....Source from official Blue angels............Idiot calling others idiot's

  • hey idiots.....especially ""retired navy somthinortheother"that thing its a "show plane " with an advanced runway assist device istalled so it can mock a rocket ship type takeoff for the kids at the airshows ,its a lot of fun but you would never see it in regular service ,its a one off

  • @jcedozer It's real and they are rocket's for jet-assisted takeoff (JATO), it helps it take off from short distance's on war type scenario's that would have small runway's....lmao runway assist device, mock rocket ship XD

  • probably chuck norris start to fart at 0:17!

  • Got to ride in one like that back in the 80 while on active duty.

  • um wtf

  • the did that to A AC-130 BUT IT CRASHED DO TO PILOT MISTAKE

  • I've seen this at an air show in Jax Florida and that was the loadest thing ever. Awesome!

  • what is that ?!

  • is that normal

  • this was in the netherlands at leeuwarden took 4 hours to get there. but it was worth it

  • this was in the netherlands at leeuwarden took 4 hours to get there. but it was worth it

  • They ran out of JATO bottles and no longer do this. The last JATO take-off was at the Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow in Pensacola, Florida at their homebase on November 14, 2009 at 3:17 pm. Got a great shot of it!

  • Damn

    oO

  • We're going ballistic!

  • if you ever need to light a match, the navy's got your back

  • @chadman1231 BAAAAAAAAAAHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

  • is this just for air shows? or can be useful?

  • @computer305 it is useful when you have short lanes

  • @computer305 They used rockets like this but facing the opposite direction. The idea was that when they fired them on landing it would slow the plane faster on shorter airstrips. Like in the middle east

  • @SnIkLeeT oh ok thanks.

  • I love how this is just failed technology, developed to be used in a special ops mission, to get the hostages out of iran, but the C130 broke apart on a training exercise..(operation credible sport btw..)

  • TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • i didnt see that coming lol

  • Fat Albert is no more. The Blues retired the plane last November.

  • @aerospacejtc NOOO!! I get to see them this June, i was hoping to see fat albert! :(

  • All C130's can do that. It's for the short runways.

  • lol the gasp at 0:18

  • nice

  • Holly shit lol

  • the quality is just fuking terible man its not high quallity at all

  • @vafbsgb ur kidding me... gtfo troll

  • @cokefan3

stfu and go snort another line u coke fan

  • @vafbsgb ur defending urself on being a troll. k

  • "uh tower, tell the maintenance guys to get ready to do another paint job..."

  • Blue Angels always have bad ass toys

  • Did that thing have jet engines on it? Must have gotten up high really quick with those things

  • @razor005 They are turboprop engines. It has what's called JTOL, or Jet Assisted Take Off. Basically huge ass rockets hooked on to the sides. They don't use them anymore, which is a shame.

  • @336kgf Oh cool, thanks for explaining. I knew there was a such thing as JTOL, just never actually saw one.

  • @razor005 Actually, it's JATO, or Jet Assisted Take Off, but it's cool. I knew exactly what you were talking about.

  • @razor005 Theres no such thing as JTOL still. You might be confusing it with things such as JATO or STOVL

  • @FutureC17Pilot Yea I mean JATO in that comment but was typing fast and put JTOL. Mistake on my part.

  • @336kgf Did the Marines on Fat Albert quit using the JATO rockets? I have not been to our local shows since the homecoming 2009 show @ Sherman Field. That really stinks if they are not going to show off those awesome rockets anymore. Amazing how 8 rockets can equal the power of an extra turboprop engine on the C-130.

  • @korfus yes they stopped using them I was at NAS Pensacola home of the blues this saturday for the show. They probably need to save them and the money for whats going on over seas atm.Fat Albert still got up pretty fast though it isn't as cool without the rockets but oh well..My grandpa spent 51 years in the navy and was an executive at corry station 2nd in command an helped design most of the buildings there. He said they need to save them for money and over seas missions If I heard right.

  • @legend1617 Yeah, I talked to one of the Marines on Fat Albert, he said they used their last JATO "bottles" a while back, but were looking around for more if they could get them. I told him about the company that refurbs the bottle, like the ones on the TV show "The Master Blasters", and he said he'd look into it. I am also a hobby rocket designer and builder.

  • @razor005 there is a vid that shows how it goes up that fast. it has like 5 rockets on each side

  • VTECH JUST KICKED IN YO

  • @asshatnowhere159

vtech is a pile of shit

  • Damndest gutsy sound you'll will ever hear at any Air Show and I have heard all the loudest ones for the last 45 years.

  • lets see you squidies do that sometime!

  • i saw this in the air alpine show

  • This is what happens when pilots dont get their fighter slots.

  • Great job and good video

  • peto-power

  • WTH??? does it get propulsion from rockets? :o

  • @ricard512 Um yes.

  • awsome

  • love jato on dat plane

  • fat albert!

  • this might sound stupid, but no plane in the uk shows iv seen does this... are these actually engines? or just show flares or something

  • @SuPrAmAd101 real engines ive ween them do it here in the u.s. only once or twice thoe. its assisted take off

  • @brandonf90 oh cool,

  • @SuPrAmAd101 Dear Sir, My step father flew the 130 in Vietnam, as well as the E-2 Hawkeye on carriers, and a number of other planes. He refers to those pods as "bottles" which makes me think they are a disposable add-on rocket. I've seen them used every time the Angels do a show, and, to me, it's almost more exciting than the sneak pass. Best, SJD

  • Nice shot of Fat Albert! Right at dusk. Good job.

  • Thats how you do it.

  • Now THAT'S how you use taxpayer money! Hahahaha. I've seen this do it twice - C-130 is one of my fav. aircraft and it amazes me every time.

  • Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Albert!

  • Are those jets?

  • @BurningArtsStudios Solid Fuel Rockets

  • @TowManSKS Ahh ok :) thanks

  • "vomit comit" lol

  • Who ranked this as bad!!!!! LOL, Amazing clip.

  • Holy Crap! Awesome

  • I see the FIRE!

  • ty Beavis

  • yea to bad they arent doing jato take offs any more... the last airshow i went to was the 2nd to last time they did it

  • Looks like Fat Albert finally went to the toilet! Awesome take off!!

  • This is a rare video now, they stopped using JATO November 14, 2009. Dam shame too, JATO was apart of my childhood at any Blue Angels airshow

  • @Pimpedoutrides7293 rare??? guess you don't get out much on youtube...

  • Now that's TAKING OFF!

  • imagine those on a Cessna..

  • Burn baby burn.

  • Omg That not ecologic !!

  • @94rainbowx33 and you ride a bike and walk to work every day?

  • goodness! is that rocket assisted take off? how short is the runway?

  • imagine this on a c-5 xD

  • @NKCrime or on Antonov 225 ^^

  • @pR05t0 :D

  • Comment removed

  • thats nuts!

  • Thats impressive............

  • awsome!

  • Comment removed

  • they only have enough left for a half season so they decided to end it all together instead of having to choose what airshows to perform at. These jato tanks are vietnam era and have been stockpiled since.

  • HOW FN COOL IS THA T??

  • @MrSexyRandy there is nothing cool about it.....Infact was and is dangerous.....

  • @RobertsDigital How is that dangerous?

  • @MrSexyRandy very cool

  • no more jato for fat albert

  • Why exactly did they stop using the Jet Assisted Take-Off? Is it a financial (cost-cutting) reason or what?

  • no more jato

  • they dont use jato anymore?

  • no. last one was at the blues homcoming last month in pensecola

  • did you notice a beautiful raindrop "tunnel" behind the propellers ??

  • omg

  • holy crap!

  • where was this

  • I saw this demo today at Ellington Field in Houston.... one word to describe it... AMAZING!!!

  • NO replacement for Mr. Fat Albert yet? and it will NOT be for a long time. What the Herk can do no one alse can! Thanks Skunkwoks!

  • @Phantom713Hawk Skunkworks had nothing to do with the C-130...

  • Yurbxudmas: They never do JATO in the air, is fairly redundant at that point. They only use the JATO rockets during takeoff, and then only during performance takeoffs as they aren't exactly cheap, they wont use them if they don't have to.

  • They Do This Every Two Years In Beaufort SC I Go Every year They Come

  • this is nitro [ N2O/NOS ] 2nitrous and 1oxigen

  • The crew aboard Fat Albert... there's a group of guys who really love their job.

    It's Faaaaaat Albert!

  • I got to see Fat Albert sept 6th and 7th at the Toronto Air show...the emcee really took a very long breath with the faaaaaat albert part....very cool though

  • Lawl I actually thought it blew

  • kinda disapointed i just saw fat albert for lik the 30th time today but he didnt do the jato!

  • Are always High Quality.

  • its fat albert

  • i want rato bottles on my c-150

  • wow one of the best 5 rated

  • The C-130 Hecules....this generations

D-3/C-47. It was flying when I was born and will still be around when I die.

Anyone out there who can offer first hand comments about what this aircraft did during the Viet Nam War? I've read many accounts but would love to hear from a direct source....thanks!

  • no, but I can inform you that Vietnam is one word.

  • You are correct...thanks

  • @jackhamiltonbuilder Actually... It is two words... BUT back during the Viet Nam war, reporters using the telex system shorten pretty much every town and the country name to one word because it was one character shorter... Viet = People.. Nam = South... Meaning people from the south, to differentiate the people there from the people of China.

  • @jackhamiltonbuilder Actually it's "Việt Nam"

  • Nice corsair and p51 on the tarmac. Two incredible fighters. Oh and uh...nice takeoff too.

  • and a Texan and a F86!
