JSP - Ed's VNT20 TDI

I haven't quite figured out a reasonable cost effective 200hp for my TDI yet. Been on alot of forums and people seem to be a little overzealous. I ended up settling for Sprint .520's and an F1 tune last fall but with summer coming around that want comes back. I wonder if PP520's and a VNT 17 with a heavier tune would get anywhere near 200. The VNT 20 spools far to late to get any good economy out of it just driving around.

@jlbash41 I'd recommend talking to the owner of the car, he seems to get pretty good economy with race 520's and his vnt20.

Very nice man. Have a 2004 TDI 207BHP, 310ft/lb sportline myself and love it. Traction is a slight issue though lol. I see some people saying 209bhp is shit but for diesels they dont know what they are talking about. I've hopped off impreza sti's and shocked evo drivers keeping to their tales pushing them and top out at 160mph and still get on average 50-55mpg so how could you complain.

Awesome! I have a 2002 New Beetle TDI with the ALH engine. Can you elaborate on what all mods you have done to your engine. Did you upgrade the injectors? Did you do anything to the pump? What about the exhaust, is it stock? Thanks!

considering that stock power output is 90 hp, they are good numbers.

this is also just a baseline run for tuning purposes, his numbers with the tuning dialed in are even more impressive.

U my friend are an idiot...You do realize that 200 hp diesel is much more then a gas powered car. This car can more then likley take 300 plus hp cars with ease...also its more about tq then hp smart guy.

car was a prototype, made some of the biggest power numbers of its time from what I knew, no car with that extensive work or that cutting edge would be problem free, but the issues were minor stuff that happens on any custom swap.

stock filter flows PLENTY. in fact a lot of other much larger engines have smaller filters. Many users fit R32 airbox and snorkel, maf housing, and ad a bigger intake pipe from the maf to the turbo.

So many mods I couldn't list them all here. It's in a perpetual state of improvement. It just pulled 264.5whp on the same dyno last Friday.  Video will be up soon.

VNT-20 turbo installation was performed by the company indicated in the description. To answer your question, chip tuning was done by "Diesel Inside" in Canada/USA - also known as Alligator.
