What's funny is that paxman actually, if he had intelligence and skill, could have nailed clegg on the immigration issue and the eu issue, but due to his total strategic incompetence he failed to deliver an effective assault on cleggs weak position.

clegg practically admitted that he would oppose a popular demand for deportation and lisbon treaty referendum, thus practically admitting that he couldn't perform his function as a leader yet paxman still managed to fuck it up.
