  • This video is awesome! To whoever put this together, you are a class act. Gives me goosebumps!!

  • One of my all time fave songs....reminds me of growing up in the 70's. A much simpler time. Kids now don't know what real music is, kind of sucks for them......

  • @GreenEyedGurrrl Hey!!! I'm 11, and look where I am right now!

  • @beccaluvsmccartney You are a rare 11 year old!! Great taste in music!! You can only go up from here....Cheers!!!

  • @GreenEyedGurrrl Thank you!

  • Paul see you, in the UK wish he would do this live!!!!!!!!

  • Have totally fallen in love with this song in the past two days, and I'm fifteen! His ability to appeal to numerous generations shows Paul McCartney's unique magic :)

  • Sir Paul won't be around forever...... lets enjoy him while we can

    best musician on earth!!!!

  • Linda McCartney was cool. Cancer took my mom this september :(...

  • Good music back then...think back to what you were doing when this played.. Not worrying about bills, guns, gas prices. 30 was over the hill and you have three months of Summer. Cut off blue jean short not these long short kids where today and hair parted stright down the middle with wings...........When a slice of watermelon and some salt could do to a kid attitude. Life

  • I hate saxophones. They song without a sax would be so much better.

  • @iVoLcoMxHD Nah, without the sax- This would not have gone to Number 1- The sax makes the whole record. It's the reason this is my favorite Wings song

  • @katydidscorner Its actually a Wings song

  • its a very cute song, for fun loving hippies ONLY!!!

  • I love this song. I heard it on the radio in my car the other day and I'm so glad to listen to it here.

I was a kid when this song came out.

    Still love hearing it.

  • love this song- 14 i was in 75 also

  • That man earned every cent he ever made. What a songwriter! I love the ending.

  • @rcemusic Paul wrote Helter Skelter. How much more bad-ass can one get?

  • @rcemusic One of the greatest artists of all time. Genius.

  • I was nine when i first heard this song.I remembering hearing it during a holyday trip.I couldnt understand the lyrics cause back then i only spoke portuguese(im brailian). But i fell in love with this song imediately.Thanksthanksthanks!

  • No, this song isn't formula. It's unique, in kind of a dorky way, granted. But it still sounds great. Guilty pleasure from the 70s.

  • Paul McCartney Rocks!

My favorite Beatle..... Hands down! John & Joan (Aka Static Rocker.)

  • when there will be another group like beatles? history says once in amillion years

  • This and Silly Love Songs have to be lamest songs of Paul's Wings/solo career. Strictly formula. Of course it was a top 40 hit. The sax bit is good, though.

  • Natural high music , this song is among the best . Driving on a road trip listening to this and other Paul McCartney songs and music like this life does not get much better than this .

  • The wonder of it all baby

  • I thank my stepfather for getting me interested in this music. Total awesomeness! XD

  • Love this song! The memories of my youth come rushing back to me.

  • i wish i was a kid in the 70s!

  • Man this song takes me back n the days i Love this song........

  • L'époque du renouveau pour Paul...

  • @50SPQR lies.

  • Agree! 1975 was part of a great time - far better than now. Totally stress-free. No computers, mobile phones etc.. AND we managed OK :)

  • True musical genius transcends time. Nobody will remember Lady Gaga 100 years from now, but they will remember Paul McCartney.

  • Heard this at CVS today. Brings back memories from when i was a ten year old.. Great Tunnee !!

  • the time will go on... but I will allways like this song... it´s timeless

  • This song is very special for me, in a time of my life so long ago

  • Heard this in the supermarket today and remembered the genius that is McCartney.

  • love this song! I was so young !! lol

  • love this song!

  • the wonder of it all.....................

  • I was nine then and could sing every word to silly love songs, let em and this one..also alot of disco that summer and Kiss destroyer with Detroit rock city and Beth, music has changed, but some of the newer generation tunes are ok.."

  • Simply fabulous!!

  • man red bull doesnt compare to these wings

  • @weedmanguy420 haha love it!!

  • @blucas66 .. Oh Yeah!! I loved that time... : )

  • Love this song. Brings back memories of summers in the 70s.

  • do do do, do do do do dooo ♫

  • Nixon is the man... I was in college then. ":People will find a way to go no matter what the man said"....

  • THE BEST!!!!!!

  • john was pranceing and dancing in the dakota to this in mockery and love.john is the man.

  • @laneatlileden Wow, what is wrong with you?

  • @Nigelxman1 i only meant john was so heavy in a way to where paul seems so over happy go lucky. john questioned obladee oblahda.maybe thats where i got it. nixon is the man.

  • I love Wings but they get no respect.

  • The song is amazing..it is simple and seems like its going nowhere then it has such a sweep to it...

  • He must be the best song writer ever. To just give away 4 or 5 solid gold hits to the band Badfinger without blinking an eye is telling.

  • @buck62sugar Bravo.

  • @buck62sugar 4 or 5? Which ones other than "Come and Get It" did he give them?

  • Ah, the Summer of 1975...simpler times, better music. I wish I was 14 again...

  • @actfray You're right. The summer of '75 was a magical one. I had just turned 16 and was in the process of falling in love with a young man who'd become the absolute love of my life. But...heart ache's a part of youth--he graduted from HS & went to college &d we lost touch. Got back together 9 years later; broke up. He got married, had a child. I persued a high profile career & 25 years later, he got divorced; I got tired of my career & we got back to gether. Will wonders never cease?

  • @stoicjello Isn't that great! How many people get the opportunity to break up with the same person three times in one lifetime?

  • @Alikah1 Yes it is. Unheard of really. I don't exactly know how things will turn out this time, but I'd like to think we keep getting back together for a reason. He's an amazing man & we have a good time together. True, we've grown up while apart & life has offered different experiences for us both--we're both still reeling from some of them, but I think we'll work things out one way or the other. Still, that magical summer of '75 when we created "us" was incredible. Unforgettable.

  • @Alikah1 I did .Actually 5 times. Lifes a trip.

  • @actfray "Summer 75" was definitely good times.

  • best band of the 70s big memories

  • @actfray --- you said it! I wish we could go back. The 70's were the best days to be a kid.

  • @actfray Amen to that mate good on ya

  • @actfray ...

Im right with ya @actfray, i was 13.. glad I grew up then... listened to it all summer long while swimming in my sisters swimming pool...

  • @actfray At least you lived in the 70's D':

  • @actfray Simpler times, better music.. Well said! Damn where has our music gone? Thank God we've got Paul to listen to, eh?

  • @actfray i wish i was 6 again

  • @actfray wish i was 15 again...

  • @actfray You got that right!

  • @actfray

  • @actfray Listen to what the man said! :)

  • @actfray I was 11 and I feel the exact same way.

  • @actfray You and me both. Great year, Summer seemed endless, so many good memories.

  • I have never heard of the spoken intro before cause they always edit out that part and I was really surprised to hear the spoken intro

  • @Doobie1975 For a second when I've first heard of the spoken intro I actually thought I was hearing Beavis and Butthead laughing!

  • the best bit of this song is the end and thats a compliment

  • For my money, easily Paul's best post-Beatles single. Sure, the lyrics aren't very challenging, but musically this is a kaleidoscope of pop, jazz, and r&b bliss. The ending part when it all slows down is superb. Always a joy to hear this one!

  • brilliant use of clarinet i ever heard...used extensively but not overbearing at all!

  • Paul McCartney is solid gold.

  • This takes me back to a lovely summer long ago. It was AM radios then, and what a pleasure to hear the depth and harmony of this wonderful piece of music once again. Thank You!

  • @divisioneight ...

summers were great then... I listened to KFXM and KMEN, San Bernardino, California...

  • Macca. God!!

  • No other musical light shines brighter than Paul McCartney.

  • THE WONDER OF IT ALL!

  • Yeah "keef71",

The CLAVINET. Such a JAMMIN' instrument. This song. "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder. "The wonder of his love" by a christian group called Christian Stevens (can't find that song anywhere).

  • Go to google and write "Ellan D group"!

  • Paul should be sainted, then everyone in the world should get 3 seconds to say I live you Paul directly to him. How much sadder would the world be if Paul had never been born????????? Love him while he is still with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @zenphil People should be able to say I love you Paul. sorry

  • And people slag Paul off!

  • Good job on this video, katydid !! Bravo !!

  • i love you Peter

    speakless again

    my heart grows

  • THAT'S the version I heard YESTERDAY @ THE MALL.... (There IS a difference), lol

    GREAT SONG

Thanks for letting it play until the very END......

  • the sound and memorys of my teen years , this is up there with other Wings greats ie, another day, silly love songs , band on the run ,c moon ....great vocals ,sax and production ..........A-1

  • Someday. <3

  • Paul McCartney, you are truly one of the BEST musicians ever. No matter what anybody says or if you try to deny it, I dont think there are many people who wouldnt agree with me. I dont know ANYBODY that hasnt ever heard of The Beatles or Paul McCartney, Or George Harrison, or John Lennon (especially John), Or Ringo Starr. I love you Paulie and i always will. ♥

  • thanks 4 those gr8 memories :)

  • my No1 record of all time

  • This is one of my favorite songs. The lead vocals, the back up vocals, the horn solo, the driving beat go so well together. Then there's that denouement (sp?) at the end of the piece. Paul is a genius. Also, through the years he seems to be a decent and gracious man, always classy. I like this montage of pictures. He is a dandy man...His smile is infectious.

  • Such a good song - we play this at the cinema. Simply fantastic.

  • Ahhh...memories. 1975...riding my 5-speed bike home from middle school on a bright sunny day...not a care in the world.

  • @tlbabin ahh memories indeed - family holiday at berwick caravan site! takes me right back

first time hearing this on anything other than a crappy MW radio/C90 taped of the top 40, love the clavinet in the background, has to be one of the most underrated 70s sounds going

  • My Sister is right in Love with Paul's music! She lives in Halifax & would love to meet him personally.

  • RIP, Linda.

  • Two words............ CHILL BUMPS!!! Can't wait to see you Paul in 12 days in Pittsburg.... <3

  • My favorite PMc/Wings songs......When I was a middle schooler this came out...Loved it....LOVE THE ENDING.

  • The worlds best Singer/Songwriter,of no doubt I have that !!

  • fucking sexy dude (:

  • "until forever" in memories for Linda , we dònt forget You !

  • Paul McCartney is certainly a gift God gave mankind. It's that simple.

  • I don't know what it is about British men but for some reason they always look the best in a suit.

  • Great song, always loved "Wings".

  • 0.25 that photo takes my breath away, what a beautiful couple! One of my favorite songs of all time!

  • Ah, Paul...the very first love of my childhood years :)

  • ポールのやさしさが伝わって来ますね!

  • @tararebanasi Hello welcom to utube.

  • My favorite part is at 3:10

  • @kblopp Mine too !!!

  • @syxxgunner I wish Paul would have done that verse three times in this song.

  • He looked like an ass serenading our Marxist-in-chief.

  • I love you paul,, i mean as musician i love all your songs from the beatles till now

  • if todays music were only half as good as this................alas. Clearly, as most here have already said, the 70's were incredible. it was a great time to grow up

  • Great song one of my favorites...why can't they make music like this anymore...long live Paul

  • Great song one of my favorites...why can't they make music like this anymore...long live Paul

  • paul is not pompous you asshole leave him alone

  • Another cracking sound from the mid 1970s.Need i say more!!!

  • FUCK THE HATERS PAUL IS A LEGEND

  • @bigrabbifish No need to be vulgar

  • Should also be titled "What the Woman Said"

  • had great memories of this song when i was a kid living in NJ good times !

  • Linda wasn't good lead singer but she sang harmonies quite well. A lot of people are like that. I can't sing lead or harmony so I don't put others down who've made it onto big time productions. Great sax solo, by the way.

  • oh oh, yes indeed we know that is the finest bit of the song with goosebumps guaranteed.

  • Yes, anyone who says that Linda couldn't sing should listen to her harmonies on this part

  • @bunchie1966 Her voice was awful plain and simple

  • Favorite McCartney. Period.

  • que buen tema me da tanta nostalgia escucharlo que buenos tiempos aquellos te amo paul marcewla chile

  • My sediments, exactly

  • Gotta Love The Wings

  • one of wings best!!

  • Dave Mason is playing guitar on this one.....song takes me to a good place.Amen.

  • ummm Lennon?

  • what about him?

  • I just remember Chris Farley when he interviewed Sir Paul on SNL. McCartney is a living legend. F'ing Awesome!

  • I heard this today on a classic American Top Ten radio show from July '75. When stations play this, the spoken intro gets omitted.

  • ha except for Ringo he is better....

  • i do believe that Paul was a little full of himself and maybe even an ass at times but in the interviews that you hear him talk about how much he loved john and how he misses him, you see that he really couldn't have been that bad of a guy.. I think he is splendid

  • Fame and fortune comes to lots of people, but I think Paul tries to live as normal a life as possible. His and Linda's children had chores and even went to public school at times. He's undoubtedly one of the most famous people ever and is the truest living legend in the entire world. I doubt there are many who have never heard of him. And, I think he'd be the first to say no one person is better than another, not even him.

  • @katydidscorner I'm a professional bricklayer and have successfully shunned fame all my life.

  • @katydidscorner Considering the fame and fortune that The Beatles and each of them had as solo artists, they set all set *the standard* for how to handle fame and fortune. No they weren't perfect people, but they always seemed to want to grow and be better. To me that's their definition. And of course their talent.

  • @disco4ever Pompous?? you missed the sixties. Get your Disco Ball, platform shoes, polyester shirt, cotton candy hairdo, hubcap jewlery and spin your Donna Summer Disco synthesized crap. Crap music, crap styles, crap era. Did I mention crap? Oh yeah I did. pathetic crap generation.

  • @disco4ever Bitter man, not being famous, having no fortune, and hating on people who have it does that to you lol

  • @disco4ever

Any artistic criticism coming from someone calling him/herself "disco4ever" strains credibility right outta the gate. *rolls eyes*

That aside, what specifically has he ever done that you find it necessary to call him "pompous" several times? I've detected a bit of self-importance as he got further on in his career, but I figure he's got so many people around him who wanna kiss up & hitch their wagon to his star, he probably feels the need to create some separation.
