I don't have that kind of romantic love and devotion in my own marriage, like Billy and Bonnie, but it seems this song was written for my parents. My father practically worshiped the ground my mother walked on which brings back some of the lovliest and most cherished memories I have of my parents.

My parent just made 61 years this past September. 3 September, 2008 my parents celebrated 60 years of marriage. In those days, "marriage" wasn't a word. It was a sentence! They worked like a team. @katydidscorner I love to hear of a man that still knows the value of a true, lady. And you have witnessed just this with your own parents. And who is to say you can not have the same. :) beautiful song, and I love what you did with the video. I have been married 20 years to the same man, and he has turned out to be so much like this song. We all struggle in marriage, it is a roller coaster. At times we are high others can be so down. My father adored my mother. He will always adore my mother. She passed away 4 days ago and today was her memorial service. I used to tell them that this song reminded me of them. I did a search for the song tonight so I could hear it.

bless your heart during the loss of your mother. my father adored my mother as well; he passed away feb. 2 and i found this; used to sing it to them in karoake.
we played it at his funeral. my heart remains broken but healing.
