In that particular scene, Egon is avoiding getting hit by a car that is being driven by ghosts.

When he calls them "zone dweebies", the drivers says something along the lines of, "What, you call us... zone dweebies?" repeating the phrase so I'm pretty sure it's right.

Egon expresses surprise when he finds out "zone dweebies" worked to get them angry and come after him.
