Here's a neat thing I bet some of you M16 - AK people didn't know about:

In real life, the M16 bullet was designed to, and does, penetrate body armor, but once inside a body, the bullet is meant to "bounce around" and cause amazing internal damage to a person, thus killing in one shot.

The AK47/74 is somewhat accurate, but not good for long range and even though it fires a heavier round, it penetrates and then exits the body. Not to much internal damage depending on where the hit area.

GTAHERO, it depends on what you do with them.. Because the AK-47 is more powerfull but there is much recoil and it's far from being as precise as the M16

The m16 is way less powerfull but more precise...

If you look at a AK-47 shooting is slow motion you can see that it literally bends

Shooting fast decreases accuracy. Sometimes if you can, take it slower. Just because a gun shoots fast doesn't mean its the best.

He needs to learn how to shoot it without the scope first so he handles it correctly. I always wanted one for my own after the Army! The shooting drill while walking and firing was called "hasty fire" when we did that in Basic Training. 25 yard targets only for hasty fire. 50 - 300 you were prone.

it's not an M16A2, it could be a Bushmaster with a full auto conversion, or if he somehow got ahold of an M16A1 lower reciever he could use the full auto function (maybe...)

This gun is an M16, that is without question. What I don't know is if it's A1 or A2 or...? It was converted to full auto by someone who knew how to operate on the mechanism...

The A1s A2s A3s and A4s are a military specification. There are plently of different manufacturers of M16's and not all of them adhere to the military specs. For Example, I own an "LCW-15" made by Lauer Custom Weaponry, but I just call it an AR-15.

Correct, in addition to the M16 lower reciever he would need an M16 trigger, hammer, selector switch, bolt, bolt carrier, and buffer. The barrels, upper recievers, stocks, magazines, optics, lighting systems (and more) are all interchangable.

If you actually pay attention you'll hear the guy say "I'll just do what you did." Which means he was walking forward because thats what the camera man apparently did before him. Secondly, he says "Am I doing good?" Which obviously implies that hes new to the sport. How did you do the first couple times you fired a gun?

Wow.. Where to start... First off, the M16A2 is only 3 round burst and single shot. Secondly, the M16 is not hard to get in most US states if your willing spend a little green. At the very least your gonna pay about 700 bucks for a bottom feeder AR15. High end M16s can run you ten times that much!

DevLcL, that's an A2, it's easily distinguishable by the carrying handle, it's attatched indefinately, not able to be removed. Also, Sure, M16s are avaliable to CIVILIANS.. but only ILLEGALLY.. (With the exception of a class C Dealer liscense..)

It's an A2 upper reciever but not a true M16A2. M16's ARE available to ANYONE in the free states WITHOUT a criminal record. You pay a NFA tax stamp.. its easy. Trust me, I worked at scottsdale gunclub for 2 years and I sold more M16's to average joe's then I can count. And no.. its not illegal. The company trains HRT and SWAT teams nationwide....they know what the're doing.

Well it's possible that the laws are different, but even if you do have to be a class 3 dealer, well you can become one without TOO MUCH effort, just alot of cash... if i remember correct.
