@yumikosasaki101 you can tell the sex of the bird becausr the female has a thick orange ring around its neck and its fatter and the boy has a skinny orange ring around its neck and its skinnier and also another way is if you pick up the bird and feel its tummy a little bit there will be a bone if the bone is close together it is a boy if it is apart it is a boy

@yumikosasaki101 You can tell if the bird is male or female because of the color of that thign about there beak. If its blue-ish dark - its a boy. If its Pink-ish or light its a girl:)

@yumikosasaki101 It's very hard to tell the sex of parrots ( hook-bill birds). Usually a vet or the pet store would have to tell you. their sex organs are on the inside lol . I had a Conure for 10yrs and never new the sex. we call it a him (Bandit the Conure)

@aprilsnowflakes Sorry for the delay in responding. They can be loud, if they are angry/upset or if they are mimicking something - like a sound off the tv. Otherwise, they tweet very softly. If you get one on his/her own, they are much quieter as they look to you as their playmate; two lovebirds can cause quite a racket!

I think you should get two of them, because if you don´t have enough time, one single bird is going to be bored! I have four of them and i would say: When they are playing, they are loud, but most of the time, they are really sweet and calm!

Beautiful bird, just dont breed him. He is a Fischer's/masked lovebird hybrid- the dark mask extending to the cheek indicates that he is definitely not a pure Fischer's.
