A lot of people are missing the point here.

Being a gay icon doesn't make you gay. Mae West is a gay icon...does that mean you are saying she was a lesbian? Scott explained it pretty well. Grant was something to aspire to (for straight men too) and was able to laugh at himself. Scott even pointed out how silly the "rumor" was about Grant and Scott.

Pay attention people.

Wow! I've never really looked at Cary Grant from this angle, but it certainly does make sense. I think Cary Grant was someone that all men would aspire to be, gay or not. I am not in the least bit gay, but I don't have a problem with anyone who is. I think I'm going to check out more of your videos! I like them! =)

Cary Grant wasn't gay, but the relationship w/Cannon probably made him comsider it!!! she complains about him bit there are 2 sides to very story & he was too much of a gentleman to talk about her..why did she hook up w/him in the 1st pace? to advance her pathetic career & for money..he was always classy,she can be seen now as an old lady at Laker games!! his big mistake

Another great video hunny :). I loved Cary in "Monkey Business" and "North By Northwest".

He was a great comedic actor and a great serious one too.

The scenes in "Monkey Business" where he goes out on the town with Marilyn are timeless :P.

I've read that Cary was gay and lived with his boyfriend up until he died. Jack Warner made them live seperately for a while but they refused to work that way so they went back to living with one another.

I haven't seen many of Grant's movies either, but if you've ever heard of Operation Petticoat that's one of his. It's a comedy film made in '58. Lots of fun to watch. Yay Tony Curtis and Cary Grant!

If you watched the video you would understand that not all gay icons have to be gay. Judy Garland wasn't gay and she's a gay icon. Cary Grant represented an ideal man that many gays (and straight men) aspired to be like - I never said he was gay.
