  • seriously nice helmet dude! i'll get around to doing a video of my fave 1 of these days. i call it my "d-day" helmet as it was worn during the 3rd wave and later on during the bulge by 1st lt william lewis gray of the 1257th combat eng. its got a lt. bar on the front and remnants of a black castle on the right side above the bale. the crown is scorched black from cooking and there are several tent pole sized dents on the top. it was a grad gift from his daughter (my teacher)

  • sthalhelm is best

  • Hi I just started collecting military items and I don't have many:( DO you have any tips on where to find cheap helmets in mint condition? I only have 1 Russian Military officer hat from the 80's and I have a British, or Australian Air Raid Warden helmet, And I recently got a Swedish M24 Helmet for $20.00. Any tips? I really like this hobby but i don't want to buy online, and I don't want to spend way too much money! I really want an American M1 Pot Helmet! But everywhere I look they r expensive

  • WOW I WISH I HAD THAT I have a Westinghouse

  • The first helmet i haD 1 exactly the same but i dident get lether band in the front of the helmet , i got hangers where the letherband got to be but there are no band , where did you get your lether string?

  • wow! i though westinghouse liners were the rarest of the rare... i guess i have to chase one these rubber hoods down now. people are also snaggin up westinghouses like no other these days!

  • can a original ww2 helmet liner not have a nape strap

  • @infantryfilms2nd Yeah it can. The nape strap is just an aditional strap for neck support. All liners came with a nape strap when they were issued and made. Some liners today have missing nape straps and some are still intact. They go for about $20 in nice shape. But yeah you can definately have an original liner that has a missing nape strap.

  • @WWIIAustrailianTroop it also doesnt have a thing to attach it either so ya?

  • @infantryfilms2nd Then its mayeb a Vietnam helmet liner. Vietnam liners didnt have nape straps. Can youi send me a picture?

  • how much was it

  • @infantryfilms2nd $20. There was one that just sold on ebay for $801

  • my fav is my 1944 dated "luftschultz" flak gunner helm

    * my keyboard is f'ed up

  • my favorite helmet is either my brodie helmet used in ww2 or my russian helmet with writing in both the liner and a swastika with a lot of scratches and an "x" through it or at least i think it is.

  • my favorite is my german m40 no decal helmet with liner and chinstrap and a name in the liner its big size found in a old farm house at belgium

  • My favorite helmets are my genuine Luftwaffe single decal m42, and my m40 no decal german heer/waffenSS helmet that was picked up by a vet after the battle of the bulge. I will make a video soon.

  • my Favorite helmet is my genuine German infantry helmet found in Stalingrad! i sadly can't upload a video right now but i think its in a picture in one of my collection videos. :)

  • @hetsar Awesome! ill have to look for it.

  • my favorite helmet is a danish ameliborg helmet

  • @the2ndranger123 You mean model 1923 helmet? Or are you talking about a differnt helmet model because i have never heard of that kind of helmet?..And i dont study Danish stuff nor collect it

  • @WWIIAustrailianTroop well its a 1947 and when i bought it i didnt know what type of helmet it was then i learn it was from a danish friend of mine

  • @the2ndranger123 Ohh, well i didn't know that. I have never learned or got into Danish stuff at all.. I just go with U.S> but i guess Japanese, German, British, Australian, and NVA stuff too

  • oh crap thats a low pressure liner!!!!!

    Way to go!

    Sam

  • @BlitzKreigFilms Yes in deed. Very early low preasure Hood Rubber liner, came after the Hawley paper helmet liner. Hood Rubber made 206,000 liners between 1942 and 1944, 1944 when there contract went out. They are one scare liner, they were made by spun around a machine, unlike fiberglass westinghouses and Inlands etc.

  • @WWIIAustrailianTroop the high pressure liners arent fiberglass, they're "phenolic resin" soaked canvas preforms molded into shape via high pressure and heat

  • another lucky find? I just got a fixed bail mccord for $55 on ebay.

  • @BlitzKreigFilms Yes $20 for set. This fixed bale is a MCcord too. Very early manufactured, stamp clear, named and chinstrap in in mint condition, 100% paint remains and its just in all nice shape ;)

  • nice. mine was painted red with "RANGE O.I.C. " stenciled on front and bck. luckily I have someone that redoes m1's!!! and only for $10! I'm gonna use it for my 'canal impression and put a reproHawley in their.

  • @BlitzKreigFilms Nice. Does it have the original straps?

  • no.... I need to get a repro set.

  • @BlitzKreigFilms Oh. Too bad ;(

  • @BlitzKreigFilms please dont refinish it!!!!!!!!! marked m-1s are uncommon. it should be left as it is. get a cheap foriegn made clone or something. or better yet trade it to me for a poor condition ww2 shell and have that refinished

  • is this a contest or just for fun

    i might do it

  • @Dapz96 I guess just for fun.

  • Looks good.

  • @FLPatrick Thanks.

  • how much did you pay for it
