  • Really Nice!!!!

  • I had no idea any Blue Stars stuff was online. Thanks for the treat. I haven't heard Anthony sing for a very long time.

    Lisa Milone

  • I believe Jack Scandura (rip) was in this group. No doubt that this was a nice version regardless which group may have done the better job.

  • Yes, Jack was in this group

  • SONG IS TIT'S WHAT MORE CAN I SAY....

  • I started collecting 45's when i was nine (1957). Got a lot of them in old Yorkville, Toronto. Three for 10 cents and sometimes 5 cents. I have original Buddy Holly, early Danny and the Jrs. Avalons, Roomates, Del Vikings and the list goes on. (approx. 3,000). There is nothing like the fifties and early sixties. Keep up the great postings.

  • I wonder which Avalons record you're talking about.. There is a group from Virginia called The Avalons who recorded their original version of "My Heart's Desire" in Canada, and it was released on a tiny little label up there. I think Toronto was where it was put out.

  • from roy adams arcade label...his store was located in the 74th street subway station in queens ny...

  • Very nice rendition, although Kenny Vance`s Planotones, Vito and Salutations and Original Heartbeats are all better.

  • @thebigfist Don't forget The Zircons.

  • Fantastic? Exactly!

  • Hi Cathylemons My Dad actually grew up with anthony back in the day on the lower eastside. Did you ?Anthony was an incredible person. I only knew him when I was a kid. Greatest voice effortless!!!!!!!!

  • Hey is that the Late Great lead singer from 7th street&2nd ave Anthony MiloneR I P ANTHONY

  • Yea..That's the late Fat's from E.7th St. with Jack Scandara and the boy's..about 1974 or 5 from what I remeber...e all miss Tony so much...

  • Agree absolutely that nothing can compare with the Heartbeats' staggering original, but this is a strong, confident version. Thanks very much.

  • not as good as original, but very good

  • It will never top Shep's rendition.

  • I don't think anything could. Although I do love the Blue Stars performance, Shep's is a masterpiece.

  • It's a reedition (or reissue)? This record seem to be brand new just out of the press in 2008!

  • This is a 70's doo wop record. I only collect original 45s. Bootlegs aren't consistent.. Sometimes they sound great and sometimes terrible. There's a mystique that goes along with owning an original piece of vinyl. I do have some 2nd pressings.. 2nd pressings are different than boots. 2nd pressings were legit copies made usually when the record was still out, just there may be something different about the label or wax. 85% of my collection is original 1rst pressings.

  • Smooth sound im enjoying this song:)********

  • trying to find singing bells by the offkeys

    circa 1964. muchas gracias

  • Got it... I'll post it for you.

  • Thank you

  • GOOD STUFF.

  • I agree

  • sounds real nice...could of been in a movie or some thing. but hey thats just me.

  • Yeah, it's a great sound

  • Decent, but not as good as Heartbeats, or Zircons...interesting find, though

  • Yeah.. I think it's a great version but it's a completely different animal than the Heartbeats or Zircons versions. If you give it a few spins it'll grow on you.

  • ditto hah
