I just can't see the ideology in voting for a political party that is supposedly against crime, but wants to scrap the long gun registry, supposedly against China's human rights violations, but is proposing to sell oil to them, and has made countless other demonstrations complete hypocrisy. It has been made obvious that Harper is willing to completely reverse his stand on an issue if it means getting re-elected. His sole priority is himself, not Canada.

The same sex marriage issue has more to do with the institution of marriage. than individual liberties. The tough on crime , does actually work, when you have a judicial system that will support the laws and apply them accordingly.
