  • Boring. So boring. Why? Please. I'd like to join the party, but the video made me expect the snow the old guy shoveled to hit the grandma and her kid standing in the opposite frame. This video needs to die. My attention span is a minute 30 seconds, tops. Get with the program.

  • I just can't see the ideology in voting for a political party that is supposedly against crime, but wants to scrap the long gun registry, supposedly against China's human rights violations, but is proposing to sell oil to them, and has made countless other demonstrations complete hypocrisy. It has been made obvious that Harper is willing to completely reverse his stand on an issue if it means getting re-elected. His sole priority is himself, not Canada.

  • We need a movement like this in the US.

  • Un jour, parcourait une pleurant I saw Michael Ignatieff panning for gold. He had a faraway look dans il yeux. The skies were... gloomy. I asked my friend Mr. Ignatieff what the matter was. He responded with a warm smile and offered me a highly suspect looking hand-rolled cigarette. I lit it. We shared the smoke. The skies took on a mauve hue, and a specter of Pierre Trudeau came to me in a vision. He said, "Blake. The Liberal Party needs you to make backward music for our new campaign."

  • That's like saying you are proud to be a thief and a liar. So, where are the billions of dollars that the liberals stole under Chretien? Until the liberals pay all that money back to the tax payers I will NEVER believe a word uttered by those leftist charlatans!

  • @cobalt545 What billions? The one billion G8 boondoggle? No wait, that was Harper. The 50 million Muskoka beautification fund? No wait, that was Tony Clement. The 130 million advertising dollars of tax money? No wait, that too was Harper (was only about 40 million under Chretien / Martin).

The sponsorship scandal was not even NEAR the amount the Conservatives have wasted buying votes and now we're in a structural deficit.

If you ask Chretien and the "liberals" to pay it back, so must Harper.

  • @Eliterate $1 billion was what was budgeted, not what was actually spent on G8. But you want billions, I'll give you billions of stolen/wasted dollars. Long gun registry= $2B.

EI ripoff+$40B. GST fraud=$1B. HRDC scandal=$1B. EH101 helicopter cancellation=$500M. Secret unity fund=$500M. And these are just a few before we add Adscam and other scams the libs pulled on Canada. They lined their pockets while in power. Its sad that they can't figure out why they are not in power anymore.

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahaha oh man. I couldn't tell if this was a joke or not. You mean the party with no defining new policies? The party who made carbon targets canada could never reach for politicial ends? Or the party who STOLE 100 million dollars in tax payers funds to give to pro party advertisement firms? What a joke.

  • I had hoped this video was a joke...

  • No conviction, no new ideas, no real leaders, no vision, no prudence, but hey, we've got our pride. We're the party to best represent the godless, baby killing, self-proclaimed feminists and student-debt defaulting wanna-be poets. The pseudo intellectual work-shy prissy boys who would suck a dick in a bathroom for a fiver. The filthy, disease-ridden hookers who blame government for their lifestyles. The crack dealing welfare scammer in subsidized housing. The party of Luciferian principals.

  • @PuzzleCollege Please please tell me how you really feel about thew Lieberals :)

  • @PuzzleCollege , yes that is all we are. We, ones that don't actually want to help single mothers nor make education free for every citizen, have actually been aiming to only help the prostitutes. That and steal your bibles. You've seen through our ruse.*stop sarcasm*

I really, really hope you're only uneducated only and not just completely hateful. It would just ruin my cotton-candy-ass view of the world.

  • @ourson001 Oh mon dieu. Tu as été brainwashé toi mon homme.

  • Lawl it is pretty jokes that the liberals are deleting the comments that are from members of other parties

  • @hooliguy52 They do that all the time. They are typical leftists. They can't tolerate criticism or sarcasm. The CBC deletes comments on their website all the time as well.

  • Cette publicité a été payée et approuvée par Chuck Guité...

  • It's ironic how the LIBERAL party deleted my comment. Did you forget what freedom of speech is, you fuckers?

  • @dksr93 cripes! what did you say for it to be deleted? Also... calling people fuckers... unneeded. everyone does it. It is called NATURE!:)

  • I am proud to be a Conservative!

  • Incredible video!

  • Bob Rae used to be proud to be a New Democrat.

  • i cant decide what is the difference between liberals and conservatives here in canada?

they just both seem to have the same results for the country, or are the differences so slight that i cannot see them? can someone knowledgeable explain? i like the liberal ideology i think. i have been trying to decide for years

  • Awe, that's nice.

  • Most Canadians could care less about the Liberals, or politics for that matter.

  • Conservative bitch

  • Great video.

  • I was for the ndp, but i now see that the liberals are the way to go! i like the new changes in the party!!

  • Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

  • lol- the dust is collecting on your sad organization. Your arrogance had caught up with you and you will die quietly in the shadows.

  • @maximus1234ification You wish. You say this because you are scared of what we are still able to do. You'll be under a liberal government in 2015.

  • @Sapardi lmao- we will see naive fool

  • @maximus1234ification You weren't there this weekend. Canada wants the liberal to come back. They won't settle with only a right wing and a left wing party. Canada needs a centre party. A party that isn't blindly clinging to a political theory. The LPC is the party of believers, of dreamers. The party that will take Canada back where it belongs: a strong, independent country. No some USA suck-up like the cons want.

  • @Sapardi TYpical liberal thinking (under a liberal gov) the party of citizen control, depriving freedoms and liberty for all Canadians!

  • @MrFangole So that must be why the Liberal party is the party who adopted the Charter of Rights and Freedom. Your logic is so strong my friend. By the way, I would like to point out the fact that the Conservatives are the one limiting freedom (just think about gay marriage) and liberty (their useless "tough on crime"). Btw, the tough on crime stuff was tested in texas: Texan authorities warned us that it DIDN'T WORK and now Harperites want to establish this in Canada. More like "Dumb on crime".

  • @Sapardi The "reality" is that it was an all party committee that adopt a Constitution to replace the British charter, which at that time could only be amended by Britain. The same sex marriage issue has more to do with the institution of marriage. than individual liberties. The tough on crime , does actually work, when you have a judicial system that will support the laws and apply them accordingly.

While Liberals held my attention up to recently, they have disappointed me recerntly

  • @Sapardi Most Canadians want to have tougher crime laws, why as a society should we tolerate violent crimes against the person. And why are insulting 60% of the Canadian population by not referring to as Canadians but Harperites ?? Do you believe you are superior to Conservatives ? Some sort of manifest destiny we are not aware of ?

Or is it just simple frustration that the Canadian population rejected the current Liberal diatripe

  • @MrFangole Well, first off, less than 40% of the canadians voted for Harper, so I won't refer to Harperites as being "the canadians" even though they also are canadian. Second, its not because a handful of people around you want tougher crime laws that it means canadians want tougher crime laws. I for one, applying your logic, could say canadians do not want tougher crime law. I'll like you a couple articles linking to studies providing insight on why "tough (dumb) on crime" won'T work.

  • @Sapardi **link (send them by PM)

  • @Sapardi You mean 40% of the voting population, where only 61% of the voters cast their ballots. If I remove the NDP votes in Quebec , you have a staggering 80% Conservative vote. The Canadians have spoken and clearly said No Thank you to the Liberals.Instead of spinning it, try and understand what the Canadians want even if it differs from you simple ideologies and build a party that reflects the wants and needs of the today's Canadians and not try to demean or ridicule the population

  • @MrFangole Liberals have never cared what people want.....they prefer to tell people what to do and how to live.

  • @MrFangole Most Canadians don't know crime has gone down year after year. They simply listen to the media. Most don't know the stats - they just listen to the fear-mongering. As for tougher laws helping to curb crime, look at the records of other countries that thought the same thing - the Americans have tried that for decades and are finally coming to realize that it DOESN'T WORK. Why is Harper reinventing the wheel? Because it gets votes and for no other reason.

  • @Dimcle Good Point!! The Americans realized 2 things People need to carry firearms to defend themselves and need strong laws to support and protect the law abiding gun carrying people. I say lets have Conceal carry for all Canadians, since it clearly reduce the crime rate.

Mr. Harper does what is best for ALL Canadians, not just a few chosen ones..

  • @MrFangole I hope you never move out of Alberta in your whole life

  • @sonic2277 Well there is a typical liberal remark, full of hate and standard stereotyping.. Do you really believe that Conservatives are only found in Western Canada that is small minded of you, but then again your a liberal right.

I am proud to be a Conservative!

  • @MrFangole I think you've picked the wrong channel, dude. This is the channel of liberals. Not the channel of making fun of people and telling people with their own beliefs what to do.

  • @sonic2277 Dude !! Its a FREE country !! with freedom of speech without oppression. But I agree no one should someone else what to do! Words you should put in practice.

Belief, so you have faith in your liberals, this is starting to sound more like a religious debate. But I assume your an atheist and a vegan .

I kike the way you want to ban anyone who has a rational challenge to make. Keep the faith Skippy

  • @MrFangole You told me I was a standard stereotyping person, I would say the same thing about you. I am NOT atheist, I am agnostic, and I'm not a vegan. What else would you say about me, that I'm homosexual, anti-constitutional, anti-free market, anti-faith, socialist or communist? Well I am not. Being liberal means being able to respect and tolerate people with different beliefs, not being one of them.

  • @sonic2277 Well then respect and tolerate the Conservatives who are in power at this moment. It was the will of the people, who voted!!!

  • @sonic2277 BTW are you an agnostic atheist or a agnostic theist ???

  • @MrFangole Your numbers are somewhat skewed. Nowhere near 60% of the Canadian population voted The Conservative party. 39% of those who voted, voted for the conservatives. 61% of the population voted.

That puts the number of 'harperites' between 20-30%

  • @maximus1234ification Is this the best you can do? Arrogance, bitterness and stupidity?

  • LIBERAL SWAG

  • Stephen Harper created 11 accounts and disliked this video.

  • I'm from Quebec and when I was younger, I supported the Bloc. Then when Dion became the leader I saw the light.

  • Great Video!

  • The Liberal Party: the party that governed this country for more than half its lifetime. Not boasting, just stating facts.

Canada is a liberal country, created in the image of liberalism at its best. And that is why I am proud to be a Liberal and much more importantly, so darned proud to be a Canadian.

Long live the True North, Strong and Free.

  • vancouver here

no idea what the french part says

never need it except to read packaging, apply for government work, and impress liberal party people

  • After many years of voting Conservative, my husband has finally changed his mind and joined me. This was his own decision and I am proud of him for making it. He was Conservative because his father was Conservative. My mother is Conservative and her husband is Conservative. I am a Liberal.

  • Thumbs up if you think separate videos for each language would be more effective/successful.

I'm sure no one will be offended, and it's way to long for Joe Shmo Facebook user at 3:26.

  • I am proud to be a Liberal - as for you Conservatives and NDP why are you here if you are not proud to be part of the Liberal Party of Canada? Seems to me you want to join hahah!

  • This was done really well. Proud to be a member of the LPC!

  • I'm a progressive liberal, and I proud to stand with other liberals, NDP, or even Progressive Conservative (PCs). It is a shame that we lost our PCs to the Reform Party's Harper Conservatives. Canada will never be a world leader in; peace, health care, human rights, or the environment again until we get rid of Harper.

  • @AtheistGlitch sooo true man

  • i wouldn't vote liberal if my children were running for the party. i am proud to be a Conservative. The party that is no more

  • How many years did it take a Liberal governemnt to compensate people for Tainted blood.

Liberal party, arty of dying uncompensated people. or embrace the Conservative Harper gov.

CBC has a timeline....last victims were compensated in 2005. It started in 1974.

  • great video! I'm a liberal and proud of it

  • @Freethinker12341 Statistics show in a study of states that are the least free are geerally dominated by liberals and democrats alike. When you aim for equality before aiming for liberty. You have neither.

  • @Freethinker12341 Well that makes one of you.

  • I pride myself as an independent thinker. Creating this false "party" prestige is dangerous to a democratic society

  • @Alpinex105 please elaborate

  • @nwereley Your comment reminded me of that video. I thought it was an interesting post. Language is complex ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @Freethinker12341 I think you misinterpreted my point completed. Please re-watch the video. I was referring to how "party prestige" limits the ability to make independent decisions that don't align with the liberal platform. It's a political trick designed to interfere with critical thinking (like patriotism in the united states).

  • @Freethinker12341 Oh I don't know why your comment had been labeled as spam. I tired to remove it, but it wont work for some reason.

  • @Zodlex let me enlighten you to the intricate beauty of the English language. ep·ic (adjective): particularly impressive or remarkable. (definition 2.ii care of our friends at Oxford). Unless you actually are assuming yourself to be capable of defining what I as a free-thinking individual find impressive or remarkable as your rejection of my use of epic implies; you should really familiarize yourself with our language before trying to make pedantic arguments based upon it.

  • @nwereley /watch?v=J7E-aoXLZGY&feature=share

  • we're less than a year out of the last election, this convention and video was just to empower the base and jump off its first step into progress of change.

just bc a party has a bad period doesn't mean it should be abolished. i'm sure all non-Liberals would prefer that, but we live in a democracy where change is welcome and we have the power to change the people on top. If the NDP doesn't cut it and ppl are fed up with the Consvs, then yes, the Liberal option is still alive to greet you.

  • youll notice that none of them said "the party of michael ignatieff"

  • @kelbymiles actually, they did at 1:27

  • @delia1985 ah good catch. what a shame.

  • @kelbymiles it's not a shame, he did nothing to deserve malice, and although he didn't have a chance to do anything as a leader, as an individual he is an incredibly accomplished Canadian. who, unfortunately, felt the wrath of the wealthy CPC marketing machine

  • @delia1985 he is a liberal warmonger... hypocrisy much?

  • @delia1985 I'm a 24 year old carpenter and I'm a Conservative. It's hard working Canadians that support the Conservative Party like me, not big business.

  • @TiberiusMaseus they are wealthy from having fundraised double to triple the amount of money than any other party. BUT, like everyone should know by now, they used $26-million of tax payer money to fund pre-election attack ads over a 3 month period, which was found to be more than Proctor & Gamble spends in a whole yr. Even CPC supporters shouldn't have tolerated that.

  • If the Liberals can pass a new electoral system getting rid of First Past the Post and get us out of the drug war instigated by the US while at the same time make weed taxable and regulated, and will make these two issues bed-rock party policy and election issues then yes they have a shot at Government in 2015.

  • For Canadian Liberals to have any chance in the future they need to sincerely ask themselves one simple question that was raised by one of your delegates from PEI. The question is this: What is it about the Liberal Party that prevents them from winning any rural ridings?

Answer that question sincerely, with respect to your fellow Canadians who don't live in urban areas, and you'll have a fighting chance in the future. Otherwise your party will absolutely die.

  • @welovesarahpalin While I think it's a valid question I also think you have to ask another at that point. Why should any party be pandering or catering to a segment of the population that is not only tradionally less educated and unreachable by modern communication but also shrinking as a segment of the overall population?

I don't know if rural Canada only cares about guns and homosexuals. Maybe religion shuts them off from anything but the CPC, maybe not. Needs some polling.

  • damn, i feel super patriotic all of a sudden...

  • Epic Video. I am PROUD to be a Liberal!

  • @nwereley Look up the definition of epic. It doesn't apply to a very simple video. I'm sure the Liberals aren't proud to have someone who would misuse the word epic.

  • @ZodLex Can't speak for them all but I think that's ridiculous. Arguging over the word epic....lol

  • Comment removed

  • it sounds very scripted to me. there are some good ideas here but it needs a lot of work. as liberals we are here for Canada as one. remembering what we did great is one thing now lets learn from it to make tomorrows government better.

  • This is exactly why Liberals are loosing support. READ THE COMMENTS!

  • Lot of worried conservative commentators below...they are ones to talk about using propaganda

  • @NEWLOVE559

Sadly I'm not a Conservative. Conservatives are the worst thing that could happen to this country.

But Liberals have become the party of big talk and feeling better about yourself without actually doing anything. People realize that. The last election wasn't just Jack Layton or the NDP platform, or about "Strong National Conservative Majority"...it was people fed up with Liberal BS....to which Liberals seem to be responding with more BS.

  • @NEWLOVE559

It is typical bashing from CONServatives.

They would rather distract away from discussing real values and policies.

  • instead of making fancy videos that show a false following and overwhelming pandering to the Quebecors, try making yourself relevant through the use of a solid platform and good ideas.

  • @lavpilot by spending HUGE amounts of money on a war machine? or re-negging the Kyoto accord? how do you suggest it be done? c'mon.. you must have all the answers.

  • none of that really made much sense..

It reads, in translation to non-propoganda, as:

"LPC IS Canada. We made it what it is. Its values are our values. If you love education, health care, and things everyone loves, then you should be a Liberal. If you like having choice, you should be a Liberal. Look at all these past PMs who were Liberal. Now lets hear Bob Rae speak poor French for a bit - oh and we're the party of Quebec. We are proud Liberals, so proud that we are resorting to propoganda."

  • I pride myself as an independent thinker. Creating this false "party" prestige is dangerous to a democratic society. Shame on you.

I know this comment will not be approved because your cowardly political agenda won't allow it.

  • @Alpinex105 Well, look at that... it was approved.

  • @NotjustGrey Yes it was. Usually they censor my comments, but this was a change. Now what about the first half of the comment?

  • @NotjustGrey The fact that it was approved speaks to how we aren't terribly bothered by the views of sad and bitter individuals like yourself.

  • My City the beautiful Toronto. Thank you.
