@hins108 I have a 2011 Outback and its fine. I can't beat... most cars on uphill acceleration but once it gets moving I am by far the fastest car on the highway. Headlamps are fine (compared to BMW X5) And yes the engine sounds crappy. great car though. Don't bash it till you drive it.
best AWD in the world! i go off roading up in vedauwoo wyoming in my 05 wrx wagon, has never failed me, never stuck, hell i had a subaru 84 gl coupe, just fwd and i out cralled all those faggots in thier pointlessly lifted trucks, all it had was skinny, bald, shitty little hankook tires with 74 hp and 3 sp auto, in my book subaru will always be notorious on and off the road.
Hi - Steve, i have the 2.5 CVT AT version of the new Outback.... can you tell me if it has 50/50 split differential as the manual you tested? Nice Vid and keep up the good work!
My car now has 3300 miles and my gas mileage has been great. The lowest for one tank was 27.9 and the highest was 34.1. the other day i checked the mileage on a 20 mile stretch of highway and got 36.4. Granted it was only for twenty miles but i was impressed. This is not a small car.
I have a Subaru Outback 2008, I am not sure if really like the outback 2010. But the car itself is amazing, I drove mine in ice, snow, and forest as off road and had no problems clearing the road with big holes due to the raised suspension. I okay with my 2.5 engine. Go subi.:)
People think that RAV4 or CRV AWD system is as good as Subaru.. BS. Those cars are FWD cars that are made into AWD only when car needs to.. Even in rain AWD does not work 100% all the time with those car. With Subaru, the AWD is 100% on all the time. Win situation here
@NoxNoctisUmbra First off I think you are talking shit because you are obsessed with subaru. The CRX and Rav 4 are tanks in the snow. As far as the rain issue, if you really driver aggressively enough in wet conditions that you need AWD, then you probably shouldn't have your license.
@1993hondaaccord toyota and honda do make good vehicles, But Subaru was always known for there symmetrical all wheel drive they were the first to come out with it, and actually still the best today. But i would take a subaru over a toyota or honda anyday. With their capabilities and legendary reputation for dependability, you have a great solid vehicle, that will take you almost anywhere you need to go.
Hmmm - I haven't seen to many CRXs pummeling through the snow - I imagine you mean CR-V though. As a former owner of 2 CR-Vs (1999 and 2007) and several other Honda's I'll attest to this: the CR-V is not a tank in the snow. It's a great car in many respects but peace of mind on a snowy highway is not one of them. As for Subaru's 'legendary dependability' - I've heard that story told both ways by many folks who've owned them.
I just traded my (great) '07 CR-V for a (great) '11 Outback - first and formost because the CR-V wasn't a tank in the snow and I drive along the great lakes in the winter time for many many miles. Lot's of snow and ice - I trust the Subaru.
The CR-V had a lot going for it though - just not the AWD.
I like mine, but the factory roof rack sucks. You can't use an Yakima Space Booster without hitting the rear hatch. It forces 3rd party cross bars too close together and it blocks 3rd party towers from being installed. Subaru needs to dump this roof rack next year! I'd rather have a bare roof so I can install Yakima or Thule towers.
@mrwashur1991 Really? I drove a n 09 last year and felt like i was in Japan getting on a crowded subway. How could you complain about a car that is longer, roomier and better designed yet still gets outstanding mpg ratings. In America it is all about comfort. want small....buy a smart car.
Which one is better the 2.5i 4 Cylinder or 3.6R 6 cylindrer?
kmulro317 1 month ago
issues wif this car:
- interior plastic quality is hard
- engine sounds loud and unpleasing when accelerating wif force
- headlamps are inadequate and don't project far enugh
- 2.5i is slow to speed up till 100km/h
- customers reporting issues wif a vibrating steering wheel .. when above 100km/h
do u think these reasons make u to reconsider to buy this car?

i love Subi Outback but this model kinda pissed me off with that stupid roof rack and the smaller cargo space in the back.
i wonder if that rack will fit two kayaks side by side?

I'm getting 31 MPG with the 6 speed! Better than advertised. Go Subaru.

@Kevinessequamvideri 6 speed? the 3.6R has a 5 speed...and the other options are a manual, or CVT?

Symmetrical AWD is the way to go for Snow.. pair it with Nokian Hakkappelitta and off we go like a christmas raindeer.

just install some nice shelves inside the huge wheelgap and you'll have yourself quite a bit of storage.
