Isn't anything that you hear a sound? Who can judge what another man hears?

That's just one problem with alot of atheists.

The only problem with discernment is understanding those things which the Bible does not make so clear, like homosexuality.

Hi Mel :) I really liked this video, and thought you had some great questions. With regard to "having demons" I would like to note that mental health is biological and physiological, just as any other health condition. It is organic.

I think you are partially right in being gifted discernment. God does grant us spiritual discernment, however, He also uses his Word, the Bible, as a measuring stick. If a voice we are hearing runs counter to his Word, then we can be sure it is not Him.

We live in a fallen world, and so are afflicted with various physical, psychological, or otherwise difficulties. This only means we each have a special obstacle to overcome, or area of growth, than can be used to refine us and bring us closer to Him. Even those closest to God in the Bible had unique struggles. But God reminds us that all things work for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Hope this helps :)

Discernment = non-falsifiable claim.

A person could just as easily say that they know the future or they can sense when someone is lying to them, because they just know. They feel it so strongly that it seems like they can be sure.

Except that's not helpful for anyone else to be "sure", because lots of people who felt sure about things in the past have been wrong. I think for some Christians, the idea is to just let yourself be "sure" even if there's no good reason to be. That's faith.

You have access to probably 100 or 200 channels at the moment, plus a bunch of free on-demand selections.
