tom has a clinic the next 2 weeks across the US at Guitar Center. He IS the real deal....unbelievable. He's from the Chicago area used to play with metalers Holyhell touring Europe with Manowar.
@willzam9 ive just been watching his youtube vids and i am a member of his website so i get some other free sample vids and articles and he is incredible. its awsome how he treats you the same whether ur paying him for lessons or just getting advice he still helps you. He even has an article on how to pick a guitar teacher, even if its not him hes committed to helping u improve your guitar. so yes they do work.
It's all explained on the website. I've taken lessons from him before (on other topics). If you're willing to put in the effort it's well worth the investment.
speaker3600 joe satchriani started when he was 16 no hes one of the top players in the world even if you started when you were 20 its makes nio differnce as long as you have a good teacher
I hear about all of these amazing guitarists who started playing when they were really young (like ages 6-12).
Well, I am 16 and I just started playing guitar and I want to know if its to late for me to become good at guitar. When you learn a language, it is easiest to learn it when you are young. Is it the same with guitar and the older you get the harder it is to become good?
It's not too late at all! But if there is anything (other than the obvious practice) that you should do to get good quick, it is play with other people. Join a band, jam with anyone. It helps a lot.
Ive got a pal whos 16 and been playing for 6 years and hes still on grade 5.
everyones different, they learn at different paces. general practice and jamming basicly is the way to go buddy. it builds confidence (especially if ur in a band) and you become better
I think he was saying that he was playing for 20 years BEFORE lessons with Tom, and his playing got better by 20% from the lessons and got him out of the plateau.
I've been playing 20 years .And my playing had reached a plateau . Tom showed me the correct way to hold a pick and how to mute the strings with my thumb instead of my palm .I can say that my speed picking has gone up 20% just by making that small adjustement .Give these lessons a shot ,they are worth every penny .If you want to improve your playing that is ...
This guys voice makes me feel like I can do much better as a guitar player. I'm gonna check it out right now and so should you!........unless your satch, vai, or petrucci
I am one of the MCMP's member.Well, Tom helps me a lot toward my goals in this program. This mentoring program not only helps you with elevating my level of music but I can use it into my life and business life as well.
Tom started playing when he was 15 or 16, we played together in high school. Now I shred vegetables (as a chef) and he ...shreds.lol.
