Só para quem sabe ler em português- se fosse calibre 12 eu dava nota mil para essa arma que eu amo, agora essa porra de caçar rolinha vai se fuder gringos dos caraios!!!
the only thing that has stopped me from turning my 97 into a trenchgun is the fact that you dont get the breakdown option. That's pretty cool how you can take apart the 97's in seconds.
hell after watching others I am a little perplexed myself. The gun is old and original I have always been able to put put 6 2"3/4 shells in the mag and 1 in the chamber for the total of 7 other folks are telling me it can only hold 5 in the mag unless modified. Still doing a little research.
It may have been modified to hold one more shell. I have a Winchester 1897 and I found out that it can be done. All I need is a shorter follower and a shorter spring.
I also plan on turning mine into a trench gun too! That will be a fun day!
The shorter follower is not something that would worry me, but a shorter spring would. Have you had problems with feeding any of the rounds with a shorter spring?
I have a Billerica reproduction Model 1897 and when I first got it, it would only hold 5+1, then I bought a heat shield/bayonet lug, and now it holds 6+1. I don't know why it's doing that now, now if I add five 7 1/2 shot shells I have all this space left over so I just go ahead and add the 6th. I don't know why it's doing that because the gun is unmodified like yours. But I guess Call of Duty was right, 6 shots!

I tried it out today. It can hold 6 in the magazine tube, one in the chamber. Un-modified.
Slam fire is the shit too!!

Did you get a shorter follower and magazine spring for 1 extra round? I counted 7 shots.

trench brooms are thompsons
Bodacious468 4 years ago
A trench broom can refer to any weapon that was designed to "sweep" the dirty Hun out of his trench.

lol ...dirty hun...........brilliant made my day

Thompsons were not used throughout WWI, but the trench shotgun was, making it the "trench broom."
