how did you learn playing it? did you go to some school of sort or just online? just curious because i've been dying to learn violin since i was a child but the opportunity is amiss :). good work though
hi there...i was an adult beginner...started out three years ago when i was already 24, so i thought that i should get a violin teacher who can teach on one-on-one basis so that he can concentrate on my progress rather than do group studies. i studied with him for a year and a half... that's 2 hours per week.. so that's basically it; not to mention the endless practice (^_^) i hope you'd start working on your dream too...it's worth it! thanks for droppin' by! (^_^)
yes, i often kinda get excited and tends to rush up when i play without an accompaniment, but i'll try work on calming my nerves =) thanks for watching!
Pretty good(: Did you buy the sheet music and change it up or did you play this by ear? Just wondering! But if you played it by ear, maybe you could slur the first two notes and simile for others like them? Just a piece of advice, I don't mean to sound offensive. You played well! Are you in a school orchestra? Once again, just wondering.
thanks... you're too nice =) yup i got it from The Phantom of the Opera music book (Hal Leonard Publishing version) oh, yes my teacher always tell me to slur the "think-of" part but somehow i always end up forgetting it whenever i play it as a whole =( but i'll work on it ;) Nope, im not in a school orchestra--- though i'm flattered that you thought me to be in one =) i am an adult beginner, i began studying the violin when i was 24, last april 2008 =)
I've been practicing very hard, but usually I my bow touches the D string when I was trying to move it on the A string. You've got no problem with it, so well :)
Up to now, I've been working on violin for 10 months, but not continuously, because my teacher went abroad, and I had to look for a new one (it took me about 1 month). And, thanks for the advice, this help me a lot in making a decision for my violin playing :)
(^_^) thanks for the compliments.. glad you find the sound of my violin pleasant.. it's a Bachendorff Professional Series, its around $400 i think... not that expensive but has a good quality, my teacher uses the same brand type for his everyday gigs. nway, hope i can watch some violin videos of you soon.. keep up the good work =)

Very good for an adult who has only played for a year. Stick with it. You are going to be much more than an amateur!

Nice sound. How much is your violin?
