Hi I have the sheet music for this song, some of the chords are real difficult to get the fingering right. Does you pdf file give and fingering? Not sure that I will ever play it to your standard, but some of us started playing later in life.

The sheet music is a mix between the two version, with all the arpeggios and chromatics. The solo improvisation it's from the first video I published on Youtube (the one played on the electronic piano)

It's Abdim arpeggio, with Bb on bass... or you can call it Bb7/b9 arpeggio.

I developed that arrangement after a while, perhaps a couple of months... playing live every day.

Hi, I have a question I'm hoping you can answer. My friend is letting me use their P-80, and I think it has something to do with the settings, but when I play, it sounds like the sustain pedal is constantly being pressed. I don't have the pedal plugged in so I assume it's some setting that I cannot figure out even with the manual. Hope you can help.

I was never allowed a piano as a kid. I desperately wanted one. I bought one when I was 19 and loved it. Even it was so old. I did not learn to play as it was never in tune. When I was 25 I got a really good piano and tried my damndest to lean. I got somewhere but unfortunately I never got very good. I'm currently studying for my grade 8 piano in classical music, but I want to play in the style of a cocktail pianist.

I find it slightly hard to improv because i'm classically trained to read a sheet of notated music.not chords etc..

If you have any info on how I could proceed in the right direction of playing in this style that would be awesome!

go see a local jazz pianist and ask him/her for lessons. You can also check out the mark levine jazz piano book, but it will only take you so far. learn you basic triads so that they are really easy, then learn 7th and ninth chords. You really should get a jazz piano teacher at some point though. Lots of great jazz pianists teach because its hard to make a living performing. Expect to pay $40 an hour. You can also go to a music school and get cheaper lessons from a student.

I don't know whether anyone's noticed, but there's no original version of this Errol Garner classic on YouTube. As such this version is quite astonishing in that it achingly evokes the original but manages to remain original itself. No mean feat by anybody's reckoning!

I liked it, the only thing was I thought for a part of it, you could just make it more simple. The really large and fast arpeggios were very impressive. I just feel they were used to much and I thought you should have just "scaled it down a bit". But I will say you defiantly know what you're doing. Just try to let the beauty of the piano timbre do some of the work and let the piano sing, not necessarily your fingers. But still, fantastic performance!
