@bensmitty Some repairers charge a lot more, replacing the case then testing takes about 2 hours so there is some time that goes into the replacement, Apple will probably do it for a lot more, and a new 3gs with a new case is probably more than £200, so alternatives are a lot more expensive. DIY repairs can be cheaper, but also can be very risky to the iPhone risking damaging an iPhone beyond repair.
