My school chorus is doing this rendition, and I'm so excited! Though, not to be mean or anything (<3) It sounded too warm and young, and I AM taking into consideration that they're middle school. Though, I think this is a very good version :) I got shivers when the soloist(s) went off. (I get to be one of those, so I'm hoping I can give the movie version justice). The improv was just gorgeous, though.

There is a line that crosses into poor taste, but it is unfair to judge this director's decision when this clip is a snippet of a much larger picture. Those of us who have taught this age group are aware that there is much more at play here than what we see. This director has obviously garnered the great respect, support, and involvement of his community. No doubt his influence is life-changing for many of these young people. I think we can overlook the moments of accidental irreverence.

I would have to say they are pitchy, the singing isn't very good, and they yell a lot. But I do have to say this is the most energetic version of this song I have ever seen.I know how hard it is being in a choir and singing dull and nonenergetic songs, then when you get one that is energetic you put all your energy into it. I loved the energy! Especially from the boys in the middle.. Great. It's a good and very hard thing that you do.. at your age, singing and dancing in a large group!

I know this, self being a youth choir master for over 15 years. For others it is simple to say where there is a wrong note or choreograph! So keep up the good work and sing to the Lord the way you feel is right for you!

Define better. The kids in this video had a blast performing this song, and it shows. Being a part of a performing ensemble is about having fun and making the audience enjoy the show. I wish I was a part of this ensemble when I was in high school.

the pure excitement may help but that will never cover the speed they were going at & the fact that i couldn't tell whether or not they were on the right pitch nor could i hear the echo. i know its bad 2 compare the song 2 the movie but u would think it would sound the same if not similar. im sorry if it offends anyone but i have taken choir 9 years & had a scary strict teacher for highschool choir. if we had been learning a song & were not up 2 par by the time 2 perform then he would cut it.

This is great! I've never seen such enjoyment from a high school chorus while performing, and my high school chorus has sang on the Kenny Rogers Christmas Tour! God bless them for having such enjoyment while singing to our lord. The lord looks very well upon them, and the mistakes are hardly noticible as their pure excitement covers it all.
