@hanklove4ever well Waylon was never called what you would call messed up, but he took drugs, but he knew just what to take to make him right. and when he came down with diabetes they told him get off of drugs or die. so he got off of drugs and didn't live to much longer after that. i really do not think that the drugs was the cause of the diabetes. People win record contracts on glorified game shows like American Idol. Waylon fought for originality in country music to avoid what has happened today where the artist are encouraged to sound exactly like each other,Its a shame, Country s a good form of music but I cannot and will not get behind modern country,God bless Waylon and I hope someday more like minded country musicians come along,

@gtofan2005 I absolutely love Metallica, but country also. I knew that Hetfield liked a wide variety of music and I think liking a wide variety of anything makes a person better, because it gives a better perspective than those who are bashing each other's music all of the time.

my grampa old my dad and mom that he used to run cocaine for Waylen back in the day, he said Paul English( willie nelsons drummer) was setting on the barn crowing like a rooster, Paul English also played Avery claver in red headed stranger, he told a bunch of stories about that and i believe him cause my grandfather was a preacher, not at the time but the last 20 years till his death in 98

I think by hating other music, it hinders your ability to enjoy music overall. It's only when you give value to music you do no appreciate, that the music you love becomes even more valuable. I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber or mainstream rap & hip hop, but it does me no well being to hate on that shit, especially when this is a Waylon Jennings video/song and it kicks fucking ass!

They thought that America was a place they could be free of persecution and maybe make a better life for themselves. @megafaded69 Ordinarily I'd agree with a sensible comment like this (and I do for the most part) but the difference between Waylon and people like Justin Bieber is this: Waylon started from the bottom during the early days and EARNED his way to being a music legend. People win record contracts on glorified game shows like American Idol. This Bieber kid has been able to wine and dine in places as a TEENAGER that Waylon probably didn't get to until he was established.
