Ciofi is very good in this role! She appear so funny! Her voice is not very important but it's very good in this case.

i can't hear where rydl sings wrong. i am singing osmin too and would be happy to perform it like rydl! his low notes are fabulous! in such recordings the higher frequences are always dominating. in general a problem for duets bass-soprano! I like this recording

I don't agree, let's see the duet watson rydl or watson moll 19-21 years ago, it was great, now we fell that few notes are hard to sing especially in low parts. I'm sorry but at 2:25 I hear more someone speaking that singing especially at "dir" and many "portamentos" (translation from google)

the thing sad is that kurt Rydl loose his powerful voice in low notes, and at the opposite of patrizia who sings naturally moving whereas kurt put his head down to sing. Seeing the same song sang 20 years ealier, maybe it's his age which do that :( And his sings a little wrong... :(. But patrizia is wonderfull with expressions in her face very impressive
