anyways going to be a japanese in my afterlife

  • why don't you ever show your family on youtube. you already share your experiences and things you do almost every day, why not show the fam.

  • Keep doing Food Videos :D look how many vieuws u got in a couple of days compared to other ones :D

  • Delish! Thanks for the video!

  • That looks fantastic!

  • Nice find, Kevin. The Japanese love their hole-in-the-wall restaurants and its always a joy to just walk in any direction in a Japanese city to find something unique for dinner. NYC, Philly, Pittsburgh, Boston, Chicago; they all used to be great for bumping into mom and pop diners and tiny stand-up counters in back allies that only locals knew about. Still are, but the traditions are fading quickly these days.

  • Wow, that looks awesome. Does the Hida beef taste much different from regular beef? Just curious. Thanks for the great video :)

  • looks great

  • Ghetto onsen?

  • @vanderley3 he said "Gero Onsen".

  • dude... I feel so hungry now... AGH!!

  • GAH! I'm hungry now!!! D: Thanks a lot Kev!!! Xo

  • Dammit all I get are instant noodles.....

  • Could you tell me what kind of pickles they are?

    Everything looks delicious!!

  • What were you drinking there in the back of the tray?

  • When I come to Japan, you're in charge of taking me out to eat.

  • What was the orange and white thing in the noodles? That food looks sooooo freakin good!

  • @Queenbooker i think its called " Narutomaki"

  • hara hetta x_x

  • thats a large slice of kamaboko! I want to try it but Ive been all over chinatown and couldnt find any! Japanese items are rather rare, we have more chinese, korean and vietnamese stuff available.

  • @PlatypusGuitar Don't go to Chinatown, Try Asian grocery stores.

  • @sunlong1987 We dont have asian markets elsewhere in montreal than in chinatown, just convienence stores owned by asians, that sell all the regular stuff. Or asian restaurants.

  • Man, I'm hungry now!

  • That looked delicious. Out of curiosity, was that a somewhat expensive meal or about average price wise for restaurants?

  • Looks great. would eat right now for breakfast even.

  • Looked great, btw, what was that swirly garnish in the udon? Very pretty.

  • 豪華な牛丼じゃねぇかw

  • now im hungry lets go cooking haha

  • @jwmvb yum yum

  • Wow! It's really good stuff!

location : Hida, Beef : Hida beef, Noodle : Hida water and buckwheat.

Ohhh, I want to eat them very much!

btw, I heard that oversea people do not like a nomal rice. so it was rice bowl dishes?

  • @AwesomeKazuaki it was really good. I think people from other countries , myself included are not used to eating one food (rice) everyday. I suppose it gets a little boring. I eat rice everyday, but often use furikaki and other things to add more flavor.

  • @BusanKevin

    I see I get it! Thank you, Kevin-san. (*^-')v

The video remind me of that your comment to me of 2 years ago. In your memory, Hida autumn leaves were beautiful, I'll bet! Thank you.

  • when i was in university, I worked at a onsen hotel in Gero Onsen

    during summer break from Tokyo.

At the late evening, I used to prepare fresh hida beef to the guests at kitchen.

glittering fresh beef for steak, which going to be grilled in front of guests

    always made my mouth watering.

Though I saw this wonderful Hida beef almost everyday during summer break,

I taste it only once at the special occasion, hardly remember reason why.

but taste so good its a memorable meal in my Gero days.

  • @qqqtreasure that is an amazing story! Col, you used to work there during the summers. I really liked the place.

The beef was nice. the small donburi cost 1300¥, but I'm glad I had it!
