  • Well that sucks

  • Itwas andross

  • Guy I have the answer we all pushed her in, she said it was you!

She must think the name of our collective is ahhhhhhhhhh.

  • Guys I figured it out!! I know who pushed Krystal. It was me I did it. Cant you see the clear evidence she said it's you before I pushed her. Why else would she say you?

Wait.... It was you too? Holy Crap. Everyone who has played this game to this cutscene should know that we all pushed her in!!!!

  • whats the music called that starts at 0:40 ????

  • This I have to say is the most beautiful part of the game. The wonderful scenery, music and atmoshere, I have yet to see this quality in any other game.

And this is a starfox game! It's not even ment to my mystical!

  • 0:08 - I think Krystal's a little constipated.....

  • it sounded like krystal was having sex at 0:03

  • My God; 0:40 , it's just a so beautiful song. :')

  • so she cant be all like "its you!"

  • uhmmm... no. its General Scales. i know this bcuz when they were on his ship, he was all like "this is not over!" and when she went into the krazoa shrine he couldve went up behind the post and waited for her, and she doesnt even know Andross.

  • For anyone wondering who that is... its Andross.

  • @justsomekidfromhell Lolz no I love it o.o

  • this will be my favourite game forever.

  • Oh my word I never get tired of that music... absolutely gorgeous sound.

  • ATOMIC SNEEZE!!!!! XD

She sneezed so hard she blasted her way though a long hallway and got stuck in a crystal generator!!!

    HATCHOO!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

(by the way: YES, i know it was Andross)

  • @metalghost7 the person that froze her

  • When I was still playing this (maybe around 10 years old lol) I wondered if she ever got bored in that crystal

  • Anybody notice it sounds like she screams "Andross" ?

  • @metalghost7 That has been debated countless times. There is evidence that it is both General Scales and Andross, and given that Andross's "spirit" was hanging out with Scales since before the start of the game, it's most likely that Krystal saw General Scales' before he pushed her into the stream, but that Andross was inside his mind, possibly controlling his actions, possibly not.

  • @krystalarchive Who is to know for sure, except the story writer. I've never given it much thought really, though it all becomes clear near the end of the game.

  • is that andros or scales??

  • The music...so beautiful sounding. Love it

  • Do a barrel roll!

  • what does she means with: "Its you!" ?

  • WTF? Girl in Carbonite? What is this? Opposite day?

  • The reason Krystal recognizes the face of Andross is because he destroyed the birth planet of Krystal. In the introduction, Krystal's planet was pronounced doomed and she was the only survivor; Andross wanted to trap the final citizen as a channel for the Krazoa Spirits to revive Andross into a material form.

  • You also have to remember that the same off-colored vision appeared when Andross interrupted the fight between Scales and Andross and when the giant Krazoa head started floating before the final boss fight.

  • @keeltoll3456 I agree completely with you.

  • Where's ZIG when you need it?

  • how dus shy know?

  • It's you!

    HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN!

OK, someone has to make this joke.

  • i find it interesting that krystal recognizes andross there; further supporting the point she knows it was him that destroys cerinia.

  • I think it was General Scales....

  • Its obviously Andross who shoved Krystal in there

  • You're absolutely correct... Except for the fact that Andross didn't have a body at the time (therefore nothing to push her with)... and as a giant ape head, he doesn't roar like a dinosaur... and there's no evidence whatsoever that Krystal knew the Andross prior to the game... But forget all that. It MUST have been Andross, and only Andross, that pushed Krystal. It's. So. Obvious. [sarcasm]

  • Let's also not forget that Krystal looked over at where the figure was standing. If it was Andross, a floating head approximately twenty to thirty feet wide, not only could he not fit in that space (assuming he had a physical form), but he also could not have hidden behind the pillar, because most of his face would be sticking out on both sides.

  • giant head and hands is the form he chooses to manifest in as a sign of power once he aquires all of the krazoa spirits (listen to the sounds he makes... similar to the krazoa spirits hmm?) ; before he manifests he is just as much a spirit as any of the krazoa, and they had no problem with physically bumping her around.

if he was already a giant head and hands, what would he need the krazoa spirits for? think before you condescend on people...

  • The heavy sounds of breathing and the roar most definitely do not sound like the Krazoa noises. I've heard all variations of Krazoa Spirit noises in the game, they are not the same.

You have no evidence that he manifests as a non-immaterial spirit, but even if he did, my point still stands:

He wouldn't have been able to hide behind such a small pillar. And if he DID have a body that he could use to push people around with, why would he make himself WEAKER by gaining a physical body?

  • I have been thinking, I've explored this argument and its variations for over 3 years! I do not condescend people, I condescend incorrect ideas.

  • Also, yes, the sounds are very similar; they are the krazoa spirit sounds but filtered and extremely lowered in pitch. Do you see the resemblence? evil version of the same sounds.

  • You have misunderstood me on almost every level.

1Everything about the krazoa spirits and their power revolves around telekenetic power; the power that Andross captures krystal to use her as a conduit for. When Krystal brought the first spirit, Andross used it's power to imprison her. Being a non-material spirit himself it would be like us wielding a physical sword; his will in death alone powerful enough to manipulate it.

I never said the form shown here was physical. It obviously isn't.

  • No. I do not agree. The Krazoa sounds are completely made up of stretched, echoed whispers of words (some of which are recognizable). These noises are simply growls and heavy breathing.

Your assumption that it is Andross' spirit alone that is doing all these things feeds back into your argument. It is called circular reasoning. There is no evidence that Andross himself has the power to move things by will alone ACCEPT if you ALREADY believe that we are talking about Andross in this scene.

  • There is already evidence that Andross has SOME power, considering the fact he was manipulating Scales through the whole damn game.

and he is obviously there, who else was there that would have the intent of capturing her? Wasn't Scales, he was still up on his ship.

  • I agree that Andross has the power to influence people. In fact, that is the only power he is assured to have according to the game. It is my opinion that Scales was partially influenced by Andross, kind of like possession, but such that Scales thought that what he was doing was HIS idea (See the Scales Fight cutscene).

Also, Scales has a teleporter (see CloudRunner Fortress Boss Intro cutscene). Of course it could have been Scales (with Andross tagging along). This theory fits all data.

  • wait wait wait, what? The sentient, intelligent, upright standing General Scales reduced to a growling, spitting beast in the face of a defenseless starkly dressed fox? Them some damn creepy sounds.

    No.

Besides, why would they have hidden the attackers identity if it was Scales? He was already introduced; it doesn't make sense to the plot. However the fact that Andross was possessing the Krazoa palace WAS meant to be secret; being the big plot twister.

  • Because sentient, intelligent, upright standing characters can never breathe hard or roar...? Scales roared on at least a couple occasions elsewhere.

Even if it wasn't Scales, I could apply the same argument to your theory: "wait wait wait, what? The sentient, intelligent, upright standing Andross (a monkey), reduced to a growling, spitting beast (who roars like a dinosaur) in the face of the mere Krystal? No."

  • I acknowledge that the appearance of Andross was to be a twist, and that there is the same visual system used when both Andross and the hidden figure is about to push Krystal. But my theory explains both perfectly: Andross was inside Scales at the time, as he often was given our knowledge of the game's story prior to Krystal's arrival. To Krystal, however, she would have seen Scale's body, which is smaller than both a Krazoa and Andross' visual form (small enough to fit behind that pillar).

  • Okay, you make good points.

Although I still stand by mine; it occurs to me now how ridiculous I feel about arguing about -and getting worked up over- something so ridiculous and inconsequential. Believe what you want, but I still believe Andross was responsible.

Either way we appear to agree on that point regardless, it was just who physically did the pushing... I can't comprehend how I thought that mattered in the slightest.

I suppose more because I enjoy a good debate, I guess.

  • However, I still believe that if it was Scales and Andross was hiding inside of him, they wouldn't have bothered hiding his visage... or blurring his vision. The oranged-out and blurred vision was another aspect that stacked ontop of the weird sound to suggest either barbaric rage or subsentience.

  • If you listen closely to the spirit when it enters the face, it sounds like it's saying, "Andross, we love you, sooooo."

  • It's General Scales behind the Pillar, and she got scared. She backed up and fell into the beam.

  • maybe if krystal done a barrel roll, she would have been able to get out of tha beam...

  • Irony at it's best... xP

  • whats confusing me is, she says its you. at first i thought she was talking about G. scales, but that was Andross. so, how does she know andross?

  • haha, Krystal is in a Crystal

  • another one of the naming quips native to the starfox series... head shake worthy.

  • This part always makes me cry *snif snif*

  • Sad scene.

  • thast ironic isnt it

  • who was that....

  • I think it was General Scales since she said "It's you!" And just a short while before she confronted him so it'd make sense.

  • Hm... Helping out the main character and letting her guard down long enough to be shoved into a pink/purple (I can't really tell which) and trapped there until the end of the game... Where have I seen that before?

  • Hah Krystal sounds funny when she screams

  • its andross behind the pillar

  • but is he like 500 feet tal or some shit?

  • no. he only got big cuz he ressurected hisself using the krazoa statue. does that help?

  • maby...

  • is it just me,or do the spirits sound like someone using mouth wash..hehe

  • Whats the name of the music?

  • lmao whoever it was behind her was probably all like "R-R-R-RAAAPE RAPE RAPE RAAAPE!!!"

  • hahaah!

  • Oh so it was a former friend of mine who I hate now lol?

  • general scales was behind the pillar......or its someone else but still raaaaaapppppppppeee!!!!! he must have said that

  • I'm pretty sure her telepathy allowed hew to assume the language of the person/animal to wo she needs to interact with, as long as they are sentient enough to speak, have some form of a language.

  • i can think of 2 things of what watched krystal and hen shoved her into the beam of light

  • I always felt as though releasing a Krazoa spirit would feel the same as puking up your soul.

  • Did you ever noticed that when Krystal was captured, she diddn't knew another language and when she got released, she talks English?

  • she knew another language, but i guess she assumed that cause she was on a planet where everyone speaks "Dino" / "Saurian", she speaked that language.... or, its Slips translator.... who knows.....

  • @savinganne Thanks to the translator. So basically, she's speaking Saurian, but Fox (and the player) understands it as English (or whatever language you're playing it in). Of course, her lips are synced to the English words because it would, arguably, make less sense otherwise.

  • No, but it was fun.

  • dude, at the green part in beginning, it sounds like shes haveing stomachache.....

  • Slippy : Eh ROB ! What does the scouter says about Fox's temperature ?

    ROB : It's over nine thousaaaaaaaaaand !!

    Sliipy : What ??!!! 9000 !!!??

  • Okay. I'll try to lay this debate to rest right now. Krystal has the ability to channel the power of the Krazoa spirits, the spirits of life itself. Andross, being heavily wounded after the events of Star Fox 64, needed the power of the Krazoa spirits to revive himself. However, Andross did not have this power himself, and besides, the Krazoa spirits wouldn't help him willingly. He decided to use General Scales, ruler of the Sharpclaw tribe, for the first step of his plan.

  • Yes, I'm about to spoil the game. If you want to see it for yourself, back away now. Anyways...

Scales wanted his tribe, the Sharpclaws, to be one of the Ruling Tribes of Dinosaur Planet. However, since the Sharpclaws were vicious bullies, the existing Ruling Tribes (the Earthwalkers and Cloudrunners) refused to allow this. Scales was FURIOUS, and resolved to seize power by force. When Andross heard of this, he suggested that he and Scales work together to achieve their goals.

  • Scales eagerly accepted the proposal, and Andross laid out the terms of his plan. They would steal the Spellstones from the center of the planet, which would cause it to break apart. This also weakened the Krazoa Spirits and sealed them to various shrines around the planet. When four satellites broke away from Sauria, Scales hid the Spellstones there to seal the planet's doom. Dinosaur Planet began to die, and it sent a galactic distress signal...

  • Krystal, the last survivor of the destroyed planet Cerinia, traveled to Sauria in order to help them out and discover the secrets of her past... just as Andross had planned. He knew of her power (probably because he destroyed her homeworld personally,) and he knew that if he confined her within a magical crystal he and Scales had designed, he could use that power in order to revive himself. Krystal came to the palace and rescued a Krazoa spirit, just as the conspirators had hoped...

  • The events after that are precisely what happens in this video. Krystal was knocked into the beam of light and paralyzed, and Andross used the Krazoa Spirits' power in order to seal her within a crystal (oh the irony!) Now, Andross could proceed with his REAL plan... with Krystal in his clutches, he would use her lifeforce to channel the power of the Krazoa spirits, thereby healing the wounds that he had suffered in his fateful battle with Fox McCloud on Venom. However, Krystal would perish.

  • Krystal was completely helpless to resist as Andross slowly drained her power to replenish his own. Gradually, he acquired the powers of the Krazoa spirits for himself, thereby healing the wounds that he suffered eight years ago. Meanwhile, Krystal was growing weaker and weaker... to the point where she would die if Andross's scheme came to fruition. It is at this point that Andross's archenemy, Fox McCloud himself arrived... and Andross decided to use Krystal as live bait.

  • Andross came to realize that by draining Krystal's lifeforce, he himself had gained the Krazoa Spirits' power. He no longer needed Krystal for the purpose of reviving himself... nevertheless, he saw great value in keeping her captive. Fox was recovering the Spellstones and bringing them to the Force Point Temples, effectively undoing Scales's attempt to seize power. Scales was becoming increasingly useless to the scientist, and Andross decided to have a bit of sadistic fun with his old foe.

  • Noticing Fox's reaction upon seeing Krystal, Andross correctly surmised that his enemy was falling in love with his captive. Furthermore, since Andross now could control the Krazoa spirits, he could use them to his advantage even if Krystal was released. He let Fox gather the remaining spirits, even killing Scales himself to give the final one to the hero, then let Fox approach his altar. Upon the release of the Krazoa spirits, Andross began the most dangerous game.

  • Andross tried to drop Krystal to her demise in front of Fox's horrified eyes, but the hero quickly reached down and rescued her from the fatal fall. Unpeturbed, Andross used the power of the Krazoa Spirits to free his petrified form and taunt the dog and vixen before him. ("Dog" is a term used to refer to a male fox.) Krystal knew that the "Krazoa God" was no good, so she seized her staff and began firing at it... which did nothing. Fox headed to the sky to confront the beast. What a shock!

  • As we know, the Krazoa God was actually Andross, who was all too eager to battle Fox McCloud once again. And, as we also know, Falco arrived just as Andross thought he'd won. The two ace pilots worked in tandem to kick Andross's... ummm... nevermind. With the Star Fox team back together, the victorious mercenaries received a surprise in the form of Krystal, who came to the Great Fox to offer her thanks and request to join the team. Awkwardness ensured when ROB noted Fox's temperature. XD

  • i loved this game i almost would say its better than starfox 64

  • really? i'd say it is better thans starfox 64... the only "quest style" type StarFox game, in assault you can save, but what's the point, the game's so short...

  • It was the krazoa spirit who trapped her in the crystal. I think she ment It WAS you. As in the krazoa spiit WAS released by andross. It gave him power therefore he hid it in krazoa palace. Krystal got the krazoa but andross's soul was locked up inside it so intstead of sucking her into it, the opposite of good is bad so it reversed the effect and she got blown into the krystal because general scale's soul was inside the krazoa spirit giving it power. That... was... well.. that was creative!

  • Watching this clip makes me want to jump right into the video game and save Krystal.

  • This is the most depressing cut scene! Poor Krystal! :(

  • it was definetly andross

  • it was definetly andros because fox found out at the end of the game

  • Easily my favorite cutscene in the game.

Is the music for it in the songs list when you unlock the cheat token?

  • Unfortunately no. All of the good cutscene music isn't in the sound test. There is one cutscene track that contains music from various cutscenes, but that music is the dark moody music from boss appearances.

  • I think it was General Scales, like...possesed by Andross. Krystal realized who it was, meaning it was more than likely scales, and we see the yellow vision thing, that we see with Andross later. Also, in a later cut-scene, i remember Andross saying something about "using" scales. So i think it could be a possesed scales.

  • I'm pretty sure it's Andross because you later(when Fox gets the last spirit) see the yellow point-of-view while Andross is talking. His soul was basically waiting there until he could get the spirits too be reborn.

  • it mustve been either general scales or andross? who else???

  • Most people think it's Andross based on some really unlikely evidence, whereas I personally believe that it was General Scales.

  • I believe it was General Scales as well. Mainly because he yelled, "This isn't over!" after Krystal left his ship, and because Krystal recognized who it was. I'm sure this was his way of revenge.

  • It must have been Scales. I'm not sure if this fact applies to the game, but in real life, some scientists believe that certain reptiles have a very similar eye vision as Andross. Let's not also forget that Scales has that belt that turns him invisible, so that's probably the reason why the player couldn't see him in that corner in the first place. And since Krystal can see spirits, (Note that a Krazoa Spirit is already inside Scales) It would make sense for her to see him now.

  • i feel sad

  • why?

  • I bet it's because of Krystal being trapped in that crystal
