i'm dutch, but i really love the celtic culture (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall and Breton in France). I think irish is one of the most beautifull languages i ever herd, so i would like to learn it.
It's getting a bit frustrating now, very hard to learn Irish and I'm finding myself memorising phrases rather than understanding the language you know. I wanna learn Irish :)
Brilliant lesson. It's good how you have two examples on one slide as it allows us to compare and see the small in between words such as "and". Thanks!
What's the song you've used and is there an English version?
I'm interested in the music, how would I find a copy of the music you used on this one? I'm in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA and would happily trade you a Creole Jazz CD for a copy of some Irish music! Just let me know love! Thanks!
not being cheeky, but you can just turn down the volume so the music either mutes or is low.
I'm sorry but I can't recommend any book as I have no experience with them, and I have no idea where/what borders is.
Best thing would be to get a book with a cd, so you can listen to what irish sounds like.
I can recommend a dictionary though, its quite useful and give sentences as well as verbs. It is "Collins School Irish Dictionary" its green with the word irish in yellow. £3.99 in UK
Where you live- name the place, is it big/small, facilities there, problems in the place.

Forget the written - learn the oral.
It's a complex language to learn when taking on the written too - go with the sounds.
Raidió na Life do a search streaming on line - great music

school- name the school, facilities, rules, subjects you study.
Yourself and family- name, age, hair/eye colour, height, traits. Parent(s) job, brothers/sisters description eg, name, do they work or @ school. do u get on well with them
other topics:
-polititians, government, crime/violence, environment, economic crisis, debs, st patricks day, past times etc.

dont be so worried!
lesson 1 and 2 give phrases, some of which will be asked.
did you not do a mock oral yet??
You have a week to study, an hour or two should be sufficient to learn the majority of the stuff.
Are you doing gnathleibheal?
