  • TJ, I think you need L's theme (from Death Note) behind one of your dis-proving videos for extra effect.

  • @bmaseray

You might not remember me but we had this mini argument over month ago.

Great deal of atheist I've encountered have said to me that they deny the existance of a god and therefore I linked atheism as denying the existance of god. Now I've come to realize that it has nothing to do with does god exist or not it's about do you believe it or not. At first I didn't understand the difference but now I do.

So I was wrong and you were right.

  • @rektator To be perfectly honest I have absolutely no recollection of our argument at all. So I have no idea if I was right or wrong.

What I do know is that it takes a strength of character say "I was wrong". You, sir or madam, are an exemplary example of a human being.

  • Technically speaking evolution is still a theory. I totally agree that it is true though.

  • Comment removed

  • I accepted the proof that atheism is true. But none of the points made sense. I'm not a Christian nor am I a atheist. I just a guy waiting for proof but I saw a debate between William Lane Craig and Christopher Hitchens and Dr. Craig made more sense than Mr. Hitchens. Hitchens even proved Dr. Craig's point so. Either way it's a matter a Faith what you want to believe.

  • from real philosphy books please...

  • How about read on something that is written by an intellectual and not by a richard dawkins...... im not saying atheists are dumb(probably more smart than christian) but they read and blurt out nonsense from nonsensical books read and study

  • @moejobe Sorry but how can you say Dawkins is not an intellectual? He is a member of both FRS and FRSL and professor at Oxford and California, honorary doctorates from 10 universities, he topped Prospect magazine's list of the top 100 public British intellectuals, (decided by the readers), receiving twice as many votes as the runner-up. The Times listed him in the top 100 most influential people in the world, The Telegraph, top 100 living genius's and winner of several book awards.

  • The original and most usual definition for Atheism according to the Dictionary Philosophy is: "A person who maintains that There is no God; That is, that the sentence 'God Exists' expresses a false proposition."

So if people are claiming that there is No God, then they must prove their claim. Now if you cant disprove a universal negative, then Atheism is unprovable, and it is the Atheist who is believing a view in which there is No evidence.

  • @jonnyneo53 Lets get this straight, Atheism isn't provable due to they can't prove their claim? Using that logic proves their claim, you can't prove that God is real without the use of circular logic based around the bible.

  • @jonnyneo53 We are not saying there IS not God, we are saying we lack the belief of God. What it means is we believe there is no God, and whether you choose to believe it or not, there PROBABLY isn't a God. I cant be 100% sure, but my 99.9999% is pretty damn close.

  • @jonnyneo53 That is only the most usual definition among theists...

Go and ask atheists which of the following they are:

    a) Someone who claims there is no God.

    b) Someone who does not accept that there IS a God.

  • Prove that atheism is true?

    What?

You want me to prove that I don't worship or believe in any dieties?

  • That's where my t-rex went! Give it back!

  • I am tired of your video's teeth-whitening promises!

  • Scientology ad. Really?

  • @Nebuli2 Oh my god every single ad I get on here is either for scientology or mormonism sdusdgfigsdfyusgdufgsudf

  • Its funny zomgitscriss pointed out recently that it IS possible to prove a given deity is not true. ie: Jesus.

If Jesus is all powerful, can he make a rock he cannot lift? If he can, he is not alll powerful. If he can't he is not all powerful. Therefore the god of christianity can not possibly be true.

  • "You cannot disprove it."

In reality, if it can't be proven in the first place with some "real" evidence, then it need not be disproven.

  • @daquarius17 By that logic, if you think there is no cure to aids (no proof) then there is no meaning in searching for a cure (need to disprove it)

  • @ssportugal If in two thousand years from now, they still haven't found a cure for aids, they should stop looking. 2012 years later, there's still no evidence hinting towards the existence of a god.

  • @daquarius17 No they should no stop looking for a cure no matter how many years it takes, science mustn't be stopped ,or else, we as human being's are eventually fucked, 2012 there is no proof of god and there will never be

  • @ssportugal Cures exist. Magical men in the sky don't. That's kinda what I meant..

  • @daquarius17 I couldn't agree with you more ;)

  • WOO FURRIES :D

  • I have atheism in my heart and just know it's true.

(Thumbs up on the vid. Ignore my poor humor.)

  • good vid.

  • IF YOU DONT BELIEVE IN ANYTHING...THEN WHY THE HELL ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME ON YOUTUBE MR ATHEIST KNOW EVERYTHING....SHOULD YOU NOT BE OUT SCAMMING THE WORLD..MAKING CRIME A HOBBY ..IF GOD MADE HIMSELF APPEAR TO EVERYONE THAN WHAT WOULD BE THE GREATEST REWARD COME DEATH....GOD IS NOT GOING TO CHEAT. YOU ARE TESTED EVERYDAY IN THIS LIFE....AN THE THOUGHT OF A ETERNITY BEING A NOBODY IS THE SCARIEST THING YOU CAN EVER WANT TO THINK OF..WE DONT HAVE TO PROVE NOTHING...ITS YOU WHO WILL SUFFER.....

  • @verveparty God doesn't exist. That's all. BUT, in YOUR heaven, I cannot avoid Sins.

As I live now, I can do WHATEVER I want to do. But in heaven I cannot. I have to live avoiding sins and following rules. I don't think that would make me happy. Here in earth, I have the opportunity to do whatever I want and enjoy life, and I think doing that is worth it even if I goto hell than going to heaven and live and eternal life of insanity.

  • @verveparty Us who will suffer? Lol. Didn't you outgrow bullying in, like, the 6th grade? =P

  • @verveparty You're one insane son of a bitch, you know that?

  • @verveparty clearly you didn't watch the video...

  • @verveparty Is it necessary to scream you opinions? And who are you to say that TJ is scamming the world? He's free to speak his mind, especially when religion is truly scamming the world.

  • @verveparty Don't ya love all this fanatic wackos putting words and actions as if God him her or itself told them personally his her or its point of view on why he doesn't show himself to all?specially his hers or it's fanatic lunatic followers? ...and yet they mannage to invest an awful amount of hateful energy on us the ones who decided not to follow their crazy irrational steps?...

  • @verveparty It's always insane lunatic religious people that talk in caps lock. Get some help.

  • @verveparty Calm down bro. If you do believe in something, then why the hell are you wasting your time on an atheist's video? Obviously people are here because they refuse to be converted, so you might have just wasted 5 minutes of your time explaining something to people who most likely don't even give a shit. So please, realize your attempt was futile.

  • Tried to comment on "shockofgod"s videos and it says "comments to be determined". the mother fucker wont even allow discussion on his own boards. pure fear. thanks TJ for allowing free speech on your message board, along with thunderfoot and aronra. what do the Christians have to fear?

  • Why don't you talk about the political offense going on in Guatemala?

  • @shredderduuude This video is 2 years old. :|

  • TJ did you know that as i am watching this theres a offical scientology google add scrolling across your chin (O_o) WTF.

  • \¨'-'¨/----WIN!

    ¨¨¨¨¨¨

  • Over the years, I've posted some intelligible rebuttals to ShockofGod's perpetual inanity, but all have been delete, immediately. As if that weren't pathetic enough, his "likes/dislikes" bar is disabled, as well. To me, that says a lot about him. Sorry for the long comment, by the way. His abounding arrogance of ignorance is just unbearable. He's a coward.

  • The only reason i believe in a God at all is (and yes, i do believe in evolution as well) is that the complexity and beauty of life couldn't just start out of nowhere

  • @TheEDBShow Isn't your god even MORE complex? Who made him then?

  • @TheEDBShow Well, I think it's okay people believe in a deity, really I do. But to say: "The complexity and beaity of life couldn't just start out of nowhere" kinda proves, at least to me, that you have no idea what evolution is.

  • @Faerlon123 Abiogenesis? Order arising out of Disorder? there's plently of examples of that, civilization is one. I think it's likely that there is some kind of deity, i'm just not sure.

  • @TheEDBShow What disorder are you talking about? The whole universe is governed by laws, sure, there might be a guy that arranged those laws, but disorder is a stupid canard because everything around you is fixed by natural laws. There is nothing chaotic about the universe, nothing can break those laws. Chaos and disorder are just ridiculous and meaningless word humans have made to shit that happens which are uncontrollable, and unexplainable.

  • @Faerlon123 And here i stand corrected.

  • @TheEDBShow I was not trying to ridicule you or anything man. I'm just trying to provoke thoughts and ideas. But seriously though, there might've been some energy, or sentience capable of creating the laws which allows us to be here today, and when you think about it, just the mere fact that they exist, allowed us to be here. That needs to be explained somehow, I just think one is jumping abit to conclusions when one says evolution isn't true, seeing as the evidence supports it.

  • @TheEDBShow Holy shit man, i'm so sorry, I totally read your first post wrong. I thought you wrote that you DIDNT believe in evolution. Jeez, I had a brainfart.

  • @Faerlon123 It's all good man, in all honesty. I have no idea what, how, or why the universe started. All just speculations

  • @TheEDBShow Why do you think it's likely that there's some kind of deity?

  • @Rickenbacker53

It's a proven fact Atheist countries are more peaceful than countries dominated by Christianity, Islam, etc. In the Bible, God actually condones rape. He also condones stoning homosexuals, stoning those who work on the sabbath day, says women are inferior to men, says masturbation is a sin, etc. I could go on, but the fact of the matter is, your God is a piece of shit.

  • @largecouchpotato

Don't bother responding to him, he's retarded.

  • Why would you need to prove that Atheism is true if 'Atheism' is just based off of fact anyway.. That's the whole point of Atheism.

  • Why do so many atheists look like they could be murders. Or rapists. Maybe this guys just mad because of what he sees in the mirror/

  • Wow...I've never seen a talking jackass before...

  • @yrusodumbwhy by talking jackass do you mean an individual with an opinion? That's probably because you're spending to much time in church listening to your mom yell about how texting with your phone is the work of the devil

  • @MikiziB Yeah....I suppose a jackass can be rightly called "an individual."

    Good point.

I'm an agnostic punk. So sit your hypocritical ASS down, ass.

  • shockofgod.... has to be the dumbest person on the internet

  • @TaNgLeD2121 Nah, I think he's just a liar.

  • @TheJs1991

    That made no fucking sense.

  • if god wasn't real ,there would be no atheist .

    enough said

  • @TheJs1991 - What?

  • @TheJs1991 You could use that same argument for any religion you dumb ass.

Try to make sense you retarded fundamentalist monkey.

  • @TheJs1991 If god was real there would be no Atheist

    enough said

  • I can disprove your claim you can fly

hang a doughnut high up on the ceiling

look away if the doughnut is still there you cant fly

  • This entire video argues a straw man.

  • The idea of "owning an invisible intangible T-Rex" may be unfalsifiable, unfortunately the proposal dies the death of a thousand qualifications to be meaningless. The T-rex relates only to you and has no interaction or connection with the visible tangible world. So the idea of "owning an invisible intangible T-Rex" is meaningless.

    -

I'm just tired of atheists and theists being "challenged" when neither can be proven. It is a matter of logical deduction and reason, and atheism fails this.

  • @Lukyo1984 Atheism fails at logical deduction and reason? Are you really that fucking stupid? Maybe you should learn what the word 'logic' means? Did you even watch the video? Because if you did, and still think that atheism fails at logic? You must have the IQ of a down syndrome pig that was dropped on his head as a piglet.

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo . . . . . so atheism is logically consistent because . . . . .?

  • @Lukyo1984 It's logically consistent because we don't believe in anything, we don't use fairy tales to answer questions or to make ourselves feel secure. Infact, all we do "believe" in, is scientific fact, we live in the land of reality.

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo Actually you believe there is no God and I'm saying that such a belief can't be maintained consistently or logically.

    -

Everybody has a foundational belief. Your description of what you are is actually that of an agnostic who holds that the scientific method is the primary tool (if not the only tool) for information gathering and for some unspecified reason maintain that there is such a thing as real states of affairs (reality).

  • @Lukyo1984 Proof that there is a god. Just do it.

  • @OneAndOnlyQualle But that's not my argument.

  • @Lukyo1984 Nice answer.

  • @OneAndOnlyQualle Thanks.

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo . . . . because you can insult me?

  • lol the furry thing in the background

  • Wait, there's no little man in the Coke machine?? BLASPHEMY!!

  • You fat shortdicked virgin!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrIFUCKWAHABIS If you're going to try to sound offensive, at least choose some better words than "virgin" and "Short-dicked." I mean, at least throw some "Fuck"'s or "Shit"'s in there.

  • @mybrotherisanaddict Then I would sound like a little kid..

  • @MrIFUCKWAHABIS You're so stupid! I bet you've had sex before!

  • @BlueLink35 Probably more than you have jacked to cp ?

  • @MrIFUCKWAHABIS I bet you don't even have an agenda. Do you even know what Majora's Mask is?

  • @BlueLink35 When I was 7 yo i played both zeldas including majora's mask...

  • @MrIFUCKWAHABIS You seriously sound immature.

  • @MrIFUCKWAHABIS someones trying to cover there own virginity.

  • @SuspendedAnimation92 Nice! You fucking got me!

  • Virgin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • VIRGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Virgin!

  • HAHAHAHAHAH! VIRGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • search up proof that god exists.org

  • If you yourself are what you say then you should realize the atheists community says there is no proof. It's a veiwpoint.

  • Atheism is a dumb word.

like not collecting stamps is a hobby. i just don't believe in any god. that's all.

  • Also, "There is no God" is also an unfalsifiable hypothesis.

  • @PGSawesome ""There is no God" is also an unfalsifiable hypothesis"

Only if you've detailed the assertion in a way that that he'd be impossible to find.

'There is no chair' is not an unfalsifiable hypothesis *until* you start claiming that the chair is invisible, untouchable, and everything else associated with an average god claim. It's not until the information becomes unknowable, that the subject becomes unfalsifiable.

God used to live on a cloud. That changed when it turned out he didn't. :P

  • Technically you can't prove it 100% either way. Thus everything you said is moot. Plus, the first 2 minutes of your video is exactly what all athiests say. It's actually what most people say. Everyone thinks the others refuse to listen.

  • Isaiah 40:22 references the earth being round. Just because people didn't know it then doesn't mean God didn't. God told people to keep things like human waste and dead bodies away from where they lived and that was before anyone understood anything about germs and bacteria, but God knew. As to the evolution proofs mentioned, Kent Hovind is a creation scientist and he addresses some of the points you brought up here. Except for the little man in the coke machine...I think we agree on that!

  • @SabarStudios "God told people to keep things like human waste and dead bodies away from where they lived and that was before anyone understood anything about germs and bacteria, but God knew. "

    :P

Dead bodies smell terrible, and - even before Christianity - a respectably large minority of people (Eastern countries more than Western ones) were aware that they were associated with disease.

Germs.. I'm not sure about. I know that by and large, most people were uneducated, but chinese physicians...

  • @SabarStudios [2]

...were known to occasionally sterilise equipment. Though this was likely to deal with obvious and observable problems (don't rub dirt into wounds - they get gross and puffy! :P)

  • I fucking love this video

  • bananna.wmv

  • Who- TJ or SOG?

  • Wow this guy is as dumb as a box of rocks.

  • @armyghost1985 Who - TJ or SOG?

  • Deism for the win!

By the way, the evidence for the Deist god (or "creator") is the universe itself. This is because all the Deist claims is that *something* of a divine or inexplicable nature (because it is beyond nature or supernatural) created the universe...if you look around you will see we have a universe, that itself is the evidence.

  • @Tartersauce101 Ignorant fuck

  • @DerrenBrown100

I dare you to actually come back with an argument instead of just name calling. Its immature and simply proves you lack the tools to grapple intellectually so you resort to petty childish slander...you're a smelly cunt.

  • @Tartersauce101 That isn't evidence unless the universe required supernatural intervention to come into being; and you would be unable to accurately or convincingly assert that this is the case. As the other random below me stated, amidst the cussing and 'fail's, the universe can create itself in theory. Well, rather, it can create matter. Universal laws preexisting are another argument entirely.

But again, there's no reason they couldn'torganise themselves. Everything else can, apparently. =p

  • @jaieet

You say it wouldn't be evidence unless we knew the universe required supernatural intervention to come into being-I mostly agree but its pretty damn complicated when you get into it because a.) the definition of supernatural gets very very blurry and b.) we don't know what was and was not required to create the universe and the laws that govern it, and we might never find out. So for now it comes down to opinion...IMO, the universe has purpose(there is a why hence intelligence)

  • @Tartersauce101 Oh, by all means; you can believe that. I've never understood the general public dislike of religion or less tangible spiritual beliefs as a whole. If you want to think the universe is dictated, formed and run by a deity or some potentially intelligent force, that's entirely within your own capabilities to do so.

As long as you don't attempt to change the way people live their lives on a day to day basis because of it, at least :P

Naturally, though, your opinion'll be challenged

  • @jaieet

attempt to change the way people live their lives? i said i was a deist, which means i'm the last person you should worry about doing that. long before an individual starts to make any claims as to what the deity does or does not want/like/vote for/favor you cease to be a deist.

as to my opinion that the universe wasn't an accident...i relish it being challenged as there is nothing easier to defend! :)

  • @Tartersauce101 You don't need to be forcing commandments to change a lifestyle. To envision a god creating a universe is one of the prerequisites to rationalise the search for that god. Which is all fine and dandy until the government decides to fund the attempt with taxed income.

Not that anything like that's immensely likely to happen in Western society. :P

"i relish it being challenged as there is nothing easier to defend! :)"

Until someone says prove it. =P

  • @jaieet

Using tax money to search for god, that is *quite* a stretch...and not something I personally would be advocating.

And I said it was easy to defend(as an opinion), not prove. You can't prove it either way (deism or atheism) as is explained in this very video.

  • You ask where God came from..you can go back as far as you want. It's infinite. God never started, he had always existed. Do you think there is a beginning of space? Of course not..it goes on forever.

  • @TheCowSaysMoow

Watch- 'A Universe From Nothing' by Lawrence Krauss

    /watch?v=7ImvlS8PLIo

  • @TheCowSaysMoow"Do you think there is a beginning of space? Of course not..it goes on forever."

You'll never be able to know that for sure unless you can reach the end. It's not good form to make random assumptions. :P

  • i do believe in a god, but i do not believe in most of the things the bible/church says, because there is evdidence that the bible has been changed significantly

also, many things in the bible are metaphors

i believe in everything science teaches us, also i'm pro homosexuality, and very liberal and open-minded

basically, what i'm trying to say is, not all christians are the same

also, these comment boxes are way to small to deliver a proper statement

  • dang im high

  • Yes shockofgod of course! A term used to label the amount of deities worshiped and believed in by an individual must somehow be true and accurate. Learn what terms and logic are! Atheism has no set of beliefs. It is just rather the disbelief in EVERY god. No beliefs. Just disbelief. And as for logic, something does not exist unless proven it does exist. To prove the Abrahamic God exists, you must first disprove the existence of other gods.

  • i have a giant dinosaure, and an spaceship in my garden ! no one can sees it cause it comes from my imagination !!!

  • it is impossible to prove evolution/carbon dating to a creationist, they can always say that those things were put on the earth at time of creation.

  • @draculantern But that would mean that god is purposely trying to trick us into believing that he doesn't exist and then sending us down to hell for an eternity of torment for not believing. I.e. that would make god a sadistic, sneaky, trickster.... which actually, come to think of it, matches pretty well to a lot of the bible :-)

  • I'm a Christian. But logic and belief are two different things. I understand and agree with Athiesm, but I personally believe in Christianity.

  • @Drazeroth100 fail

  • @DerrenBrown100 That's how you know you're incompetant of anything outside of normal beliefs.

  • You argument that you need an explanation for God is false. That would mean you would need an explanation for the next explanation and the next one and the next one going on infinitely. This idea destroys science because nobody would be able to draw any conclusion to anything. Other than that, nice argument.

    -Agnostic Atheist.

  • So much pwnage!

  • i swear everything that you say is 100% true

  • 2009-2010 Amazing Athiest was great! I miss that whiteboard background :')

  • What the fuck is the question " Is atheism true?" its like fucking asking : "Are basketball players true?"

  • @hampsterMSR

I thought along the same lines.

  • Yes, you were stupid for thinking you could change his mind, bro. lol

  • Never help coughlan616 again.

  • Just like you atheists won't accept or acknowledge the proof of the beliefs either.

  • 10:59 Fart? Probably.

  • I don't understand what christians are trying to do or any religious person is doing for that matter, i mean the universe and everything in it is more complex and amazing than any human can possibly comprehend. Personally i find it an insult to our species intelligence to suggest that we can't be bothered to find out the answers to these amazing questions and instead choose to make it up, we have decided that this world isn't enough and this universe is too small so we had to invent a story.

  • i think i love this man ^.^

  • He waist wat time he has on this world trying to to prove religion wrong while he will spend enternity burning in hell.

  • @DraGonEffects1 What makes me laugh is that you think you can scare an atheist with hell. Where we go when we die is a far more terrifying place than hell. At least with hell for eternity I could be optimistic about a reprieve. You no longer exist.....No reprieve there.

  • @DraGonEffects1 Are you retarded?

  • What does that even mean?

"Prove the idea of acknowledging no religion is true?"

That's every bit as stupid as saying "prove religion is true"

... Seriously, the internet should be used for more intelligent things. (maybe kitten pictures)

  • @20Freddie12 First thing I thought when I saw the video.

  • you just earned yourself a new subscriber

  • I am an atheist..however, I have some catholic friends, 1 jewish friend (sort of a friend) and the rest are atheists. What I find strange is that I enjoy hanging out with my catholic and jewish friends because for some reason they're just better people. I say again, im an atheist, but i dont go around parading how i dont believe in god or act like a fucking asshole and try to disprove religion.Every Christian I know keeps his own beliefs to his self.I dont even acknowledge the fact im an atheist

  • @mxfreestyle08 You need better friends. lol

  • @ReijiRomio lol why? do you know them? who are you to say that?

  • I am an atheist and I have to say that we atheists are *not* humble at all.We take pride in our knowledge of how the universe works, even though we don't know anything but the most superficial of things.Everything else is theory.Like the Big Bang,or how what was before it.And what happens beyond the speed of light? And so forth. The Religious bunch are a bunch of idiots, that's for sure. The most humble bunch are the agnostics, who come to the conclusion that we don't know shit about shit.

  • BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

    SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

    MILK FOR MY KHORNE FLAKES!

  • @Chayraz2

    FOR THE EMPEROR!!!

..naw, just kidding. i wanted to shout about another rival god, but sadly Khorne is the only one with a cool war cry...so I went for the emperor :/

  • @Tartersauce101 The Emperor is not a god just yet, but his soul; known as the star child, is changing into one.

The best war cry is still WAAAGH but it doesn't referance any gods.

  • NO ONE BELIEVES IN THE ALMIGHTY SUN GOD RA.

    THE POWER OF RAAAAA

    RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAJFOIHJPOIFYHOUWOYHWOHSOHSJpiogffnfolkfgfshh

  • @ThejuggaloICE rofl yu gi oh.

  • I dont exactly believe in a god but rather a collective essence of conciousness that regulates the universal flux. The way this asshole percieves life will never teach him anything that actually matters. The only thing he will accomplish is accepting the belief that life has no meaning exept for achieving ones desires.. No shit thats fun and all but its just going with the flow of our biological mechanism that encourages us to survive and procreate.

  • @jumpingmap I too have a similar belief as an Atheist that all life is connected. For instance, I believe you and me are the same; the only difference being is that we inhabit different bodies and have different experiences/personalities that have resulted from our upbringing/knowledge.

It's a pretty nice view of life, but I still don't see what makes it all good honestly.
