You then spot your landing, land, ride away and it’s over, it’s death defying and you’ve just defied it. Then everyone tells you how great you are and hands out medals but you are still feeling the buzz and it doesn’t matter. Sarah knew that feeling and so truly lived!

I'm not familiar with skiing, but the moto racing world lost a similar shining light of our sport last season, Marco Simoncelli, and it's tough for everyone, from the athletes to the fans to get over. Peace to her husband, family and fans. They seem like one of those two peas in a pod-type couples, I can't even imagine how he feels, especially when you see them together. I never really knew who sarah burke was until i heard a news story about her crashing. After surfing the net, reading about her, watching videos of her (even saw a montage of her wedding), I am DEEPLY saddened by her passing. That is what is weird to me, especially since i never even heard of her before, then i realized its because the little i learned about her in like 2 days, was enough to tell how beautiful of a person she was both inside and out. she died chasing her biggest dream. so sad

Watched this vid last night, heartbreaking. I'm not familiar with skiing, but the moto racing world lost a similar shining light of our sport last season, Marco Simoncelli, and it's tough for everyone, from the athletes to the fans to get over. Peace to her husband, family and fans. They seem like one of those two peas in a pod-type couples, I can't even imagine how he feels, especially when you see them together. Her statement at 4:29 is heartbraking, it's once in a lifetime to have that. RIP

I never really knew who sarah burke was until i heard a news story about her crashing. After surfing the net, reading about her, watching videos of her (even saw a montage of her wedding), I am DEEPLY saddened by her passing. That is what is weird to me, especially since i never even heard of her before, then i realized its because the little i learned about her in like 2 days, was enough to tell how beautiful of a person she was both inside and out. she died chasing her biggest dream. so sad

Sat through "Winter" film at GoPro X Dance film festival in SLC on Saturday where the film was featured - hard hold back the tears as you watched - seeing how incredibly beautiful and fun she was - and how great she and Rory were together. I didnt know her. I live in a ski community in ont. this made me tear up. For her and her husband and family. But she had more shining moments as a skier in 29 years then I will ever have as a 34 year old framer. U were beautiful and talented. And u will b missed
