I think they made Yu Yevon so easy in order to show how weak and a coward he really was. Yevon hid behind sin's armor for all of those years because he knew that he could have been beaten easily without it. And even in the end he made you fight the aeons for his protection.  He trully was a coward.

I maintain the theory that this final bit was inspired by the ending of FFVII, with the Cloud vs. sephy battle. ... which is easier than the Guard Scorpion. (lolscriptfight) either way, a nice breather after you finally got past BFA... after it raped you horribly 'x' times. >.<

Say what you want about FFX's difficulty, BFA is definitely one of the hardest JRPG bosses out there.

After defeating all the Dark Aeons, Penance finaly appears, but god he is strong. No chance killing him, so let's take him later when i'm beefy enough.

Then i proceed to take Jecht and Yu Yevon, Tidus dissapears along with the Aeons. Everything is just happy happy, but wait... What about Penance? Yes, he is wrecking everything and no Tidus n'or Zanmato from Yojimbo can defeat him since they are gone.

So please people, remember to kill him before you take Yu Yevon. For the sake of Spira.

The Jecht battle is brilliant though. It's a great challenge, with great music, a gorgeous backdrop and a brilliant, emotional lead up. Whilst I did appreciate getting to the end, it still felt a little cheap. I think if the battle was harder, I would have felt even stronger about the ending of the game.

Tidus knowing this is the last time he'll get to fight with his friends again, that he's leaving for good(course he comes back in X2). You can just feel the sadness, the eeriness behind Yu Yevon(no longer human) and that now its time to break the cycle of Sin! Amazing!
