lately i've been using Martin strings and i really like them. I switch between a few of them, but mainly the 80/20s. I think all of their strings are good just maybe some subtle differences and their prices are better than some!
thanks for your question and all the best with your music,
Love your playing... and your Collings guitars! What woods are the top and back/sides of this model? How do you feel it compares to the C-10 you've also played?
Thanks so much for the great music... I'm learning from your videos!
i love both guitars, a slight edge to the C-10 for strumming - but the 01A handles a pick well and for fingerpicking...i LOVE it. Very responsive, as loud as my C-10 and very balanced. A little less low end......if i could have only one.......the 01A!!!
really appreciate the kind post.....weren't we fortunate to be around when great music like this was being created on a regular basis. Sometimes i just wonder what if folks who write it/play it and recorded all themselves will ever happen again. boy the Allman's could couldn't they - they didn't need any tricks or help! Thanks for sharing your love of these tunes......hope all is great sir,
Holy mackeral there guy! I was appreciative of your Chicago 'Beginnings' tutorial but this is really awesome! When we were banging around hopelessly on our guitars back in the day and this song would come on by the Allmans, it would just take me to another place. Not much has changed since '72! You got it going on! I assume (maybe I missed it in the comments and responses) this is in open E? This is just great. I was going to buy another Martin soon but that Collins sounds beautiful.
i can remember listening to this like you say and just wondering how in the hell do you play something like it!! It is such a great tune and transports me to a different time and place at times as well. I'm playing it in open D.
thanks for you kind words and sharing music.....all the best!
hello sir! BR are killer guitars - i played an OM style the other day for about an hour in a store just couldn't put it down. Hope you are doing great and i love your pickin!!
hello sir - i appreciate your kind feedback...thanks! I wish space didn't seperate us so i could have the priveledge of pickin with you. Hope all is good,
Very, very nice as usual. Wondering if you are classically trained or self-taught? Thanks for your lessons too - I'm working on a few Bad Company songs you taught me!
nice...
it took me months to get this song down...
I never did get the 6th string bass timing right, though...
looks like you nailed it...
You would like The Water Song by Yorma off the Hot Tuna's Burgers album...

Hey Dale, what is your preferred type of strings? I like the tone and I am trying to select similar for my far less expensive guitar.
