Guys, he's using the higher end model of Line6; professionals use them; they have valves. The Thinline humbuckers are designed to have good clean tone. Before you criticize this guy, as though he's a eunuch, check your bias on your snobbery: It's a little too hot.
I concur with his opinion about the appropriateness of this guitar for a fingerpicker, but for different reasons.
The string spacing at the bridge saddle is the widest of the Tele bridges.
Fingerpickers like space, as with all MIM Teles ( except Nashville) the nut width is an absurd 1 5/8ths. While this might be "vintage" it's not fingerpicker friendly. Most fingerpickers, including me prefer 1 3/4 and wider and wil accept 1 11/16ths by default if nothing alse is available.
Thanks Trinh for doing this video! I was on the borderline of whether I should get a 72 thinline Telecaster, to trade for my acoustic, and whether to even crossover from being an acoustic finger picker to electric. When I heard you finger pick and play more of a folk style form, it helped me to decide to give it a try. Stay with your singing/songwriting/guitar playing, and I would encourage you to let the Lord Jesus enrich your life, as He has mine, and has led me to write Christian songs!
Wow this guy knows nothing about guitars or sound. Single coils produce way better clean tones and ...... line 6 is probably the worst company ever lol.
@segarsrock i mean i don't have a good opinion of line6 and love/own vintage fender gear, but i have to say, tone is in the hands. this guy sounded ok in my book
You like the Line 6 huh? Yeah....I like rare liver and onions ........people say I'm crazy but at least i own TWO VINTAGE SUPER REVERBS, A DELUXE REVERB, AND A POLYTONE MINI BRUTE. I wouldn't recommend Line 6 at gunpoint. (too many knobs on them other amps...LOL!!!)
@hxclion7861 Yeah, right, that is evidenced by the hundreds of famous guitar players that play Orange. It also explains why Orange went out of business, (deservedly) while Fender goes on forever. Get an ear examination.
@TeenCretin Also put in consideration that there is no one "good sounding amp", that's up to the player. I think fender amps don't sound that good while orange amps do. Orange amps are used by a lot of players so I think you should get an eye examination.
@TeenCretin Yeah well,Orange is baaaaaack, and bigger than ever. They make some fantastic amps,as does Fender. It's a matter of personal taste for how one wants to play and sound....when are people like you 2 gonna get that?
@ShredST These humbuckers bring out the clean better because there fender wide-ranges. So There special. And fender designed them to get good clean tone.
Best Buy needs to hire musicians and not "computer geeks" wishing to be musicians.

And remember folks, It's not humbuckers that's put in it, it's single-coils! Don't blame him for having no knowledge!

Not very good sound... That Tele sounds better than the clip represents. Should not play a Tele through a Line6.

And this is why best buy should not sell instruments... Every 8 year old kid who walks in there looking for an amp is going to walk out with a line 6
