Thank you for posting this song. It was very apt to be played at New Year Day to your new lover. Pity that the Pop Charts in USA, England nor Hong Kong did not get this song onto the top 10 or top 100 listing around 1959. I only caught it up when this song was casually played on 2 or 3 New Year Day (week) hit song by request on Hong Kong Radio around early 1960s. This song is a great song with rock and roll beats!!
Anything by the Kalin Twins is sure to hit it off with me...this one being another example. My favorite by them is still probably "When"...I grew up knowing of that one & sang along. Another fav of mine by the twins is "Zing". Thx4 postin'
Early in 1959, this song DID chart - it reached #42 in the top 100. The oldies era was the time of GOOD music that was mostly decent. The Kalins were so popular back then. How glad I am I grew up during that era! Lenny-G
This song DID chart in early 1959: It hit #42 on the top-100, When reminiscing about the oldies era of the mid-50s to early 60s, the Kalin Twins are definitely right up there with the BEST. Songs were mostly decent then! We had so much VARIETY in the songs - something for everybody! How glad I am that I grew up back then... Lenny G.
I always wondered that also. They had a lot of great tunes."When" made #5 in the US & #1 in the UK."Forget Me Not hit" #12 in the US.Thanks for your comment.
Thanks, I haven't heard this song for almost 40 years, it was a very requested song in Macau!

I LOVE THE 50's SONGS AND VOICES THAT INSPIRED THE BEATLES, THE MONKEES, THE BYRDS, THE SEARCHERS, THE KINKS AND SO ON!!!
P.S: If ONLY this song didn't had "echo chorus" with different voices this song would be good as any 60's slow rock pop! BUT I STILL LIKE IT!!!

I have not heard this song in about 50 years, I was beginning to wonder if it was real or my faulty memory. Thanks.

I am so surprised this song had not charted. It's as good as 'When'. It brings back memories of my teens. Great song!!

Great harmonies! How come they didn't have big hits like their "When'? These are great tunes!
