I am a recently retired State Judge from Texas. I worked my way through University and Law School with weekend piano gigs playing mostly Standards for the inebriated.
Your tutorials have been a tremendous teaching tool.
You are a terrifically talented young man. I wanted to thank you for all your time and devotion to teaching others less talented. Now if there was only a way to see your tutorials in slow motion, especially when the finger patterns get a bit sticky.
I just started playing jazz piano after 20 years on classical. I'm finding it hard to switch, but your videos are really helpful. Thanks for the user-friendly instructions. Great job!

great video. by the way, it's called a tremolo, not a trembolo. anyway, keep up the good work.

I'm sure it was just his accent...it probably just sounded like trembolo.

How do you teach yourself?
cwli123 3 years ago
Pretty much experiment with different chord structures, progressions, and scales, watch youtube videos, listen to stuff and try to emulate it...

That first riff reminds me of good ol Jerry Lee.
