I beat this guy first try. No joke. Though this was largely due to luck, fluking it, Locomotor Wibbly, and the fact that Quirrel gave me so much trouble that after finally beating him, I wasn't about to let myself get killed before I could save.

a good way to beat him really easily is to stun him then poison him and then just hit him with the biggest spell you have like incendo trio or a different trio spell. i beat him without losing any health except from his initial attack

I never got past the part where Neville hurt himself in potions class and Harry had to go look for ingredients for the Wiggenweld potion. I only found the Boomslang skin in Snape's office. Can anyone tell me where else everything is?

@ghfdfhfdndxhcg that was a bug, or so I think. The rest were in the gardens, hidden in plants and bushes. In my case, I knew were the boomslang skin was but no matter how many times I pressed A, I got nothing from the snake's office. I had to erase that file and start a new one, this time I had no problemas with that.

I found a glitch in this battle. You use the spell that allows you to petrify the opponent for a few turns and then use the poison spell the next turn. The opponent will start moving again but will never attack.

Yea, I never even bothered to buy OOTP for a home console. I got it for the DS instead, it was horrible. HBP is kind of the same idea, however the dueling is amazingly fun on the wii, potion making and Quidditch is fun aswell.

You know the Card Combination you get at the very end? (The one that has Circe, Dumbledore and Harry in it?) I think it's called Full Enchantment, or something similar. Use that in battle, and you'll get all your spells back. :)

One suggestion, go to the library, bottom floor, and search the books at the top right hand corner or around that area. You should find a spell that freezes the enemy, but only uses 10 MP which is different from the 30 MP spell. And Im not sure why, but my game doesnt save. =[ But ive beaten it in 7 hrs without running out of battery.

You can make them - if you press 'A' around the Library bookshelves, you'll eventually pick up the recipe for Grand Wiggenweld and it'll be transferred to your Herb Encyclopedia.

If you're stuck on where to get the specific cauldron (can't remember which one it is right now) Fred and George Weasley sell them at one point in the card-trading room. :3

If you managed to escape from the library, go past Snape and go upstairs. Keep going upstairs until you see Filch's cat blocking your way on the next staircase (don't go up else she'll alert Filch). On that floor, there will be a corridor on the right-hand side - when you go in it, Filch and Snape will meet in front of it. Harry says something about not being able to get past them, so continue down the corridor and go into the room at the end.

Okay, you go to the muggle studies class on the 5th floor, I am pretty sure, and then you go up to the tv, and fight the huge pile of coins to get the book back. I suggest getting to level 20 if possible first. Then you go back to the library. PM me if you have more questions.
