Hard to find an album like this one where every song was amazing where you could sware you could feel the raw emotion pouring through the music. Where the lyrics actually have a STORY or have a MEANING besides "they sound good". I still listen to a track or two from "and dont forget to breathe" on a weekly basis....

This in my opinion was a precursor to ASL's best album. The album "Rattlesnake" was in all opionions a great post-hardcore release that combined raw vocals with instrumental prowess. Rattlesnake was ingenious and revolutioary with bands such as vanna, counterparts, motionless in white, asking alexandria and counterparts trying to repeat it's success. Anyone who says ASL sucks cannot in my opinion be a fan of metal/post hardcore or screamo

Geez, I feel pretty much old when I read comments like these. Back at those times Static Lullaby were among the lamest things to listen. We all did but, in shame, we wore Fugazi and Black Flag tshirts.

Nowadays, this is actually the "cool" thing to listen, among all that crap that's out there.

I personally fell in love with a girl who made me listen that Shooting Star song, so I heard that a lot. It was pretty bad, at the time. Now it's pure nostalgia.

Actually, that emocore from 2001-2003 became very dated, quickly turning into something lame that no one would assume to listen. Some bands disappeared, while others quickly changed into something more "mature", and renegate that past.

Digging up these old hits made me feel that in around a couple decades this will have been almost completely vanished from music history, maybe with only a small note.
