  • If you do some simple math, it is easy to see that there is no money in driving OTR. Lets say you stay out for 3wks at a time. 21 days x 24 hours in a day is equal to 504 total hours. Lets say that you make $1000 a week x 3wks = $3000. So take that $3000 you made in 3wks and divide it by the 504 hours it took you to make it. 3000/504=5.95. $5.95 an hour! Are you kidding me? For all the grief and aggravation. This is more for the company OTR drivers not O/O's. But for some it is not far off. SAD

  • Where I work there are 10+ drivers making 100k plus a year out of the 46 road drivers we have. It takes an established LTL company and years of senority but it is possible

  • You can make alot of money doing truck driving jobs if you work the hours, More hours you put in more money you get.

  • operate a vacuum truck or at least a dump truck...better then long-haul..i hear long-haul suxs, big time.

  • Truck driving is not as glamorous as it once was, you never get sleep, never get paid much (after road costs) and it's hard to find a parking place when you run out of time to drive. If you drive a big truck for a living, you will end up making only about 300$ a week. There are over 700 pages of new laws that are coming out putting even more stress on the drivers. If you are thinking about driving, for a living, you should learn another trade if possible.

  • go back to school, forget this stupid low payed job...

  • @jigibao you right about that! Im happy im out of it. I rather drive a bus and get paid by the hour.

  • Very nice vidio awesome

  • When u first start out, no way.. But my husbands been driving a big truck for 30 yrs with the same company and he makes about 95k. . and the high taxes too. lol. Oh and hes local so he's home every night, with one day off a week.

  • Truckers are the lowest form of animals on Earth!

    Disgusting, Ignorant, ill-mannered!!!

  • @MrDontmakemecomeover fuck you! you try spending that much time alone , doing the most thankless job anywhere on this planet, and then getting shat on by mouthy, over opinionated, GOOF's like you,...why dont you go home and stick your head back up your dirty fucking ass and and ponder this "if you got it, a trucker brought it" so fuck you and have a nice day ;)

  • @MrDontmakemecomeover Now does that make you feel better when you say things such as this? You know;kind of an ego boost for you.So you feel good about yourself.

  • @MrDontmakemecomeover You got that right, but i got more spending money than what everything you ever will own in life is worth. Not to get personal but what happened in your life to leave such a comment?I find peoples thoughts interesting and why they feel that way.

  • i would love to kill the fuckers that suggested driving truck to me; most company's will lie and cheat you out of money; then u have the cops who ticket u, even if you haven;t done anything wrong...big money grab...dot nightmare...company's expect u to drive over hrs service or crappy unsafe junk. do yourself a favour...stay the fuck away from trucking...get a government job with vacation and pension. or better yet

    learn a trade like electrical

  • COMPANY DRIVERS ARENT WELL OFF DUE TO W2 TAXES.

O/O HAVE ALMOST EVERY RIGHT OFF AND CAN DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF

MILES THEY PERFORM EACH WEEK. ITS NOT LIKE THE O/O HAS A BIG FLEET

AND YOU CAN CLEAR OVER 100K PER YEAR IF RAN EFFECTIVELY AND NO B.S

  • MEMBERS OF THE MORMON CHURCH RUN ALL THE THE LARGEST TRANSPORTING CO.'S OF GOODS THROUGHOUT THE U.S. THEY ARE ALL TIED IN. THIS IS A GOOD WAY TO TAKE OVER THIS NATION! LOOKUP CR ENGLAND IN WIKIPEDIA ALSO GOOGLE THEM AND SEE HOW WELL THEY TAKE CARE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES...ITS APPALLING.

  • @dehvon29 i am a journyman hvac 7 yrs in the trade no work so i would quit complaining atleast you have a job

  • blackwolftrucker is telling the truth. been trucking 14 years owend a truck and 2 trailers for 5 years make over $100,000 being an owner and after everything you pay out a company driver can clear what you do.Trucking isnt worth a sh#t no more.

  • i used to make over 50k a year driving local. then i hurt my back

  • @radioactive9430 buy a better truck chair

  • This is so true. I am a company driver and have been for 6 years now. Company drivers they say can make 45 to 50K a year. I have YET to make more than 38K in a year. There seems to always be something keeping me from getting that high, and that is the companies. They are in it for themselves no matter HOW much they claim to care about drivers. Good information and accurate facts. Keep up the good work.

  • cool video and i am guessing very accurate.
