My mom and dad got this back for Father DAy 2009. It had been 25 years since he had ridden it. A very proud moment for all of us. NOw I want one for myself.
it started with a prime to the carb. All new motor and Boyer ignition. timing was off a little. motor was hot wired. I put a OEM harness and had a dead short. Its now 2 years since the rebuild and has less than 40 mile on it.
Hey I also started mine (71 Lightning) for the first time 2 weeks ago. What a thrill to see/ feel it coming back to life.
I love the colour. Could you tell me which it is?
Love your families enthusiasm!
