Sweet review! I have the grey Shockwave and he's definitely one of my favourite figures from the animated line. Was considering getting the purple one but I think I'll stick to my grey Shockwave

Hey Franz I just found out a new transformation step for voyager Shockwave If you push his upper torso onto his lower forward, you can have him hunching over like he did in the cartoon.

I think Sunstorm is great. Love the dynamic colors, and fun mold. However, I don't have that version of Starscream, so it was new to me. Did buy Skywarp afterwards, though.

The very original shockwave was the best, a huge handgun/blaster. Made noises, and he looked the best.

All the original transformers were better all these guys seem so thin and breakable. They just don't look right.

i always wanted a G1 shockwave when i was a kid, but missed out on it because it was too expensive back then. now, i thought it would be cheaper, but it turns out, the toy is much more expensive today than decades ago.

When I was a kid I worked odd jobs and saved up for a Shockwave and I loved it. And then it just disappeared. I don't know where the heck it went, I think he got up and left.  Probably couldn't stand all the constant transforming. But it took a lot of time away from my Atari, so I'm beginning to think my Atari killed it.

But honestly I think the quality of the transformers was a bit better then. And at least bumblebee was a Volkswagen beetle!!!

i say go for the original gray/white version because the quality on that one is much better. however, if you are a diehard G1 shockwave fan, then the purple one is for you.

What is really strange though is that I got mine for $26

good for you. some even got the pack for an ultra-cheap $5. during Target's ridiculous TF sale. out here, these 2-packs never made it to retail (yet) so i had no choice at the moment but to purchase one off a hobby shop. but considering TF prices out here are usually 35% higher than in the US, i thought that was a pretty good deal.

but out here, we only have one importer of hasbro products and "exclusives" are not really exclusives, since we don't have target or wal-mart. we have TRU, but the TRU exclusives, once they go on clearance, are distributed everywhere. also, hobby shops out here import their own TF figures directly from Hasbro, so it doesn't matter whetther the figures are target or wal-mart or TRU exclusives or not we get them all.

yeah, the moment the word spread those shelfwarmers were gone in seconds. The Shockwave one seems to be the more popular choice though and I can agree with that. BTW whats your opinion on the Universe Hot shot?

according to some sites it may have been a mistake which they quickly rectified.

So I see that Greenhills is still the place to go for collectibles. I used to hang out there a lot as a kid and remember introducing toy stores and comic book stores to my friends. That area just has so many toy and hobby shops...great for window shopping if you have no money : )

YAY! I got the purple Shockwave today and I am very happy. I love him!But BB on the other hand.......EEW. I do wish that the eye was yellow and the shoulders pad things were white like Peaughs.

i dunno, i kinda like the way the shockwave's been repainted as it is.

but you can always customize and kitbash your figure as you please. i do hope the animated line come up with more G1 repaints--like for Starscream

i'm not sure. i think the figures have slight variations depending on the country of release. or perhaps his figure was an earlier prototype. i'm really not certain.
