What happened to porridge and bran flakes. My family were poor as shit in the eighties and I remember taking my rusted pot of cereal through the candle lit corriders to my bedroom which my family doubled up as the toilet. I also remember how, if i had been naughty, that I would be locked up in the cellar and my parents woud throw my rusted bowl of cereal at me (which would usually crack my skull) and then i would lick those flakes of goodness and milk off the pebbled floor.Those were the days!

Honey Comb, Ice Cream Cones, Rocky Road, Grape Nuts, Clusters, S'Mores (original, not fake new ones), Pops, E.T., and just about every other great cereal that we uesd to have before everything became just another bland-looking version of granola or chex.

Hey, John, do you remember a cereal in the early to mid 1980s that had Pac-Man? I remember it growing up. Had corn puffs for the dots/power-pellets, and marshmallow ghosts and Pac-Men. I think in like 84 or 85 they revised it slightly to have marshmallows of Ms. Pac-Man.

Don't get most of those cereals up in Canada anymore. I used to love Cookie Crisp. Can't say I agree with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch as the name was totally misleading. It was more like Cinnamon Toast Soggies. But dry... it's yum tastic.

I probably ate more Honeycombs, Corn Pops and Alphabets growing up.

Really enjoyed Cap'n Crunch but found that it always cut up the inside of my mouth.

Do you remeber coco pebbles winter ones or the christmas ones? tehy had tiny snow flake super sugary marshallows. The marshmallows were tiny but soo good into the mix. Try making granola bars with the family one day using the cereal its very fun cheap and good tasting. you can even put frosting if you want to die happy. haha Thats what we should have all said to our parents when they lectured us about sugary stuff we ate "I want to die happy" --- best done on kings of queens. Id rather die happy

Notice most of these General Mills cereals don't taste nearly as good now that they've switched to whole grains? Cinnamon Toast Crunch is the shit. If I buy a box I'll eat it all in a day. Hence I don't buy it anymore :( but yeah that and Golden Grahams, Corn Pops, French Toast Crunch, Trix etc etc etc are all good stuff! Bad... but good! LOL give the poor rabbit some damn cereal!
