I like how chill everyone is. Tiny huts and just walking around with a towel or blanket 'cause it's raining. It's just so simple. Doesn't anyone else find that interesting?
"In 2003, Sinafasi Makelo, a representative of Mbuti Pygmies, told the UN Forum on Indigenous Issues that during the Congo Civil War, his people were hunted down and eaten as though they were game animals. Both sides of the war regarded them as "subhuman" and some say their flesh can confer magical powers. Makelo asked the UN Security Council to recognize cannibalism as a crime against humanity and an act of genocide.[1][2]"
what did the UN do?? nothing I bet or even better they sent a letter telling the rebel groups to stop eating the pygmies and telling the rebels how angry the UN is at them

I heard these people, the mbuti, were subjected to many attrocities about six eyars ago. Many were beaten, raped, killed and even eaten by people from other ethnic groups during a very bloody war. Good to know their culture is still around. There can't be very many of them. Anyone know approximate population number?
