  • This isn't NO flood. This is very common in this area of the "Beechfork River". Just the typical result of a lot of rain. No need to worry while visiting Bardstown or traveling 31E. North or south. Even in the old days when the old "BLUE BRIDGE" existed it was very rare too see the water get up over the bridge. With the new bridge, it's going too take a 500 year flood to cause any problems.

The person that posted this nonsense should do some research before doing so...

  • Well I am the one who posted this and it was just to show how high the water was. Not a flood in terms of your house floating down the middle of your street or anything like that but the water was high compared to what it is now.... I live here and I cross that bridge sometimes several times a day and no it didn't flood out the bridge, I just thought it was interesting to see the water being up. Sorry if you took offense by this.

  • ugh, this sucked so bad... the flood i mean, not your vid.

  • LOL I gotcha! It was pretty bad and ya know we've had so much rain that it's still kinda flooding but not near as it was here. Thanks for the comment.

  • I use to live up that road aways over by what use to be called Holiday Day Inn by the Bluegrass Parkway. I remember many times that river being that high and with the old blue bridge there as well, that new one is a whole lot higher then the old one, good memeories of that area, thanks.

  • Wow, I didn't live here at the time but I did hear about the bridge being bad....I'm glad they put the new one especially since I live past the speedway:) Thanks for the comment!

  • Wow what great footage - I hope everyone was okay and no one was flooded out of their home - Hugs & Love, Melissa :)

  • yep, it was pretty bad D:

  • Yeah we were shocked to see the water up so high but it didn't flood out our pond much which is wierd.

  • Wow you guys really got hit hard with those rains. We had a tornado that touched down here yesterday not too far from where I love, bur fotunately we escaped the worst of the rain and storms. Glad you and your family are ok. Dee

  • I'm glad to know that you all were ok from the tornado! We haven't heard of any round here yet just the rain, I think that day we had like 5 inches or so. Last year we had such a bad drout that I figure we might ought to enjoy it because we'll all be wishing for rain in a few months!

  • gosh, you folks got alot of rain down there, huh? we had some rains here in SW Ohio but you folks really got it! great footage and very appropriate (and eerie) music. thanks for sharing. Susan

  • Hey Susan, I'm terrible with geography where bouts are you at in Ohio? We usually go up to the big flea markets in I think Lebanon or gosh I can't remember for the life of me now, it's off of 75 before you get to Dayton I think. We also really enjoy vacationing in Port Clinton, Ohio on Put-in-Bay. Yeah I thought the music was pretty good for that too. Thanks for the comment:)

  • omg, I'm in Cincinnati! and I'm right off 75..Exit 3 to be exact. I've never been to Put in bay but heard it is very expensive!

  • My Goodness Susan we are practically neighbors then:) It can be expensive if you stay on the island which we never do. There is a motel on Catabaw Island that is rather inexpensive that we generally stay at, I think its called the Orchard Motel. We haven't been in a couple years though I miss it. Do you go to the big flea markets - Trader's World and Ceasaers Creek that's up alittle ways from you?
