Man, I remember watching this when I was 10 and didn't understand a word in english. I hadn't seen it again until now, and I still remembered parts of the video. Pure 80s, love it!
Funny thing- I just made a comment on a Wrestling Board comparing Clarence's passing to that of Savage. Like Savage, Clemons will always be in the shadow of Bruce like Savage was of Hogan. However in many ways just as Savage was the better wrestler, Clarence may have been better at the sax than Springsteen was at guitar.
they actually used this on SNL for a montage with piper and orton believe it or not but this is the one we remember this was the hottest angle in wwf history
i remember the song came on much music and its just a video of a guy sitting on a couch singing to his buddy and i was so excited to show my friend and his brother this awesome wrestling video because i had seen this in feb 89 or whenever first... oh memories
@bowlbrawl I totally remember the Piper/Orton montage with this song! And there was also a good montage of Piper to "My Way" by Frank Sinatra...good times :)
Yeah,my friends have similar phrases that have to do with cheesy broken friendships, except its from REVENGE OF THE SITH,like 'its like Anakin and Kenobi on Mustafar'...or 'darmok and jilad on the ocean'..LOL...sorry i couldnt resist...yes a wrestling, trek and star wars fan all rolled into one...i was so popular in highschool, the jocks use to give me the presidential suite in my own locker
@SweetWhiskerz cool can you tell me more about this i'm actually writing an article on friends using pop culture to describe themselves, etc. thanks! bowlbrawl at gmail dot com like did u ever actually see this clip from nbc's the main event when it aired in 1989? how does it compare to your own star wars version?

Actually, Monsoon/Ventura probably were the best commentating team. Of course, Ventura/McMahon and Monsoon/Heenan were not far behind.
I love the cheesy, yet incredibly fun "You're a Friend of Mine."

Mr. Brian Milligan was smart enough to be a Hogan fan since the beginning. Men want to be Mr. Milligan and woman want to have sex with him.
