I hate it when people stereotype an entire country just because they hear some retards from it bashing a band they like. I'm American and Iron Maiden's awesome, and I do like British bands more than American bands for the most part. And we do have shitty rock bands playing on the radio, but that doesn't mean we all listen to them lol. I listen to old metal mostly anyway. The best metal bands here are more underground, and the concerts (crowded little clubs) are pretty cool.

I mean I see more band shirts with illegible logo's (assuming to be some core band) than bands that are more true to metal, unless they're the band everyone and their mom knows about a.k.a. black sabbath, maiden, I'd say metallica but they where more of thrash metal.

I joined the maiden fan club in 1990 because the club claimed its members got a chance to buy tickets before the general public So, for the next year or so they sent me a monthly newsletter and pictures of what the band has been up to. Mostly them being on vacation in some exotic place living like kings. Anyway, 1991 comes along and the No prayer tour and guess what? No fucking advance notice for tickets whatsoever! I was pissed to say the least. Fuckin jerkoffs,

British rock is definitely the best. They got the beatles, judas priest, Led Zeppelin, Queen, iron maidn, etc. but american does have some good bands too, like Metallica, Journey, and Van halen and bands like that.

@KWACKnockedShrimp England had the top FEW BEST bands, but America has arguably produced larger numbers of good bands, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, Anthrax, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith, Foghat, Styx, Kiss, Fleetwood Mac(though half british they were undeniably better with Buckingham and Nicks who were American). America has produced a lot of great rock and metal. I agree with Bruce on a lot, but not here. They are both equal.
