  • i like how this was on youtube 3 years before it made it onto the Deluxe Edition >:D

  • In my opinion, this is better than the regular version since it has more of that grunge effect

  • @comedyprincess01 Defiantly more hardcore and disturbing. No argument.

  • I wonder where the pic at 0:10 was taken.

  • I learned to play this by ear, makes me so fucking happy !

  • @TheRealMathap now you're a real musician, not reading fuckin tabs for everything.

Not the hardest one to learn by ear, but you know, its a start and i hope you start a band and whether you make it big or not, just remember, its all about the fucking music y'know?

well, im drunk so whether this makes any sense is up to you , but its the passion that makes the music, not the fucking speed you can play, it taks the emotion out of it

  • @therunningtap Ya man its somehow crazy youre talking about a band, 'cause as soon as my Girlfriend gets her bass me her and another friend are probably starting a little band and are going to make ALOT of Nirvana covers ! :D

  • this should be on some movie's soundtrack

  • I remember when this first came out....I was 19. It rocked then and fucking still does!

  • To bad im never gonna see these guys ever play. =( long live Nirvana!!

  • dont sound like kurt.. till he screams

  • @intelboobies you are right its not kurt its me

  • Oh my God... wow amazing

  • woaw its sound f**** great

  • Cant believe this song didnt make it on nevermind. The electric guitar and heavy drums took it to a whole different level

  • Man that feedback is sick.

  • @PostPunkFan O_O everything is so in tune with one another and the sound the guitar is making is unusual and way past awesome

  • All right ladies and gentlemen... for once! I Will load up the song... Here you can download it! Enjoy bitches! ^^

Its in the description space! Dont forget to subscribe!

  • is this on a bootleg album or anything?

  • Where did you get that pic at 2:17 its awsome

  • @TheDopeOctapuss bleach liner notes

  • @comicarcade so i'm not crazy (i'm 18 i wasn't really around yet) nirvana was called bleach at one point in time

  • @oilfighter21 no, they were contimplating calling themselves bliss or pen cap chew but settled on nirvana.

Bleach is the name of their first album, kurt got it from a poster he saw that was telling junkies to bleach their needles before use

  • i have this on CD i love it.i mean i really like the acoustic version im just a little surprised they didnt do the song THIS way on the actual album....

  • The beginning guitar sounds like something you would hear in a showdown in an old cowboy movie.

  • @NirvanaNerd364 which cd?

  • @TheDopeOctapuss a version of Outcesticide 4 the quality sucks compared to this tho

  • Need the mp3 download link for this song.. it changed my life hearing this song

  • wish this was on the box set.

  • If they could have mixed the verse of the album version and the chorus of this it would make the song more epic than it already is

  • I personally think this version is 10 times more powerful than the one on the album and Im surprised Kurt didn't want this version on nevermind, maybe he felt like the album needed an extra acoustic track. The chorus is so haunting especially with the screeching guitar in the background which is subtle but sends a chill down my spine.

  • this version is confusing because of the time he starts singing

  • kurt was so great for this world!

    X')

  • The feedback and drums give this version a different vibe. Kinda unsettling.

  • best song to smoke to

  • @epicblogofdoom nope

  • should have used both versions in nevermind cuz there both so fuckin brilliant

  • Nirvana fan's are always especially funny in the comments, it seems like they have an obligation to declare any raw, demo, or lo-fi version of a song "better" because it either sounds shittier in quality or something...while that is sometimes true I think this song especially needs the quite treatment it got on Nevermind

  • Lol sounds like he's saying underneath the fridge

  • i like both versions too. but the other one is way more depressing

  • @nikesvvoosh something in the way isent realy depressing its just slow you want depressing try most of the songs on bleach or in utero

  • @somethingnotdone wow... I could not agree more. :D I mean has anyone actualy listen to the lyrics on bleach!? and in utero.... (for those of you who love this band, i hope you have....)

  • Where can I find this version?

  • @MrKillerDolphins /watch?v=NvUtmlEqOEA&feature=related

  • Damn, this beats the studio version...

  • omfg this is the greatest thing i have heard........

  • the guy eating the hotdog in vthe first picture just duznt fit in at all.....fuck it he got to hang out with nirvana lmao

  • This version is amazing! Is it on any albums or anything? So GOOD.

  • Comment removed

  • youknow i think this wud of fit nevermind better than the acoustic version

  • Man..that was amazing.

    Im' 30..Im' old,feel like shite..30 man..30.

  • @BrodyLuv2 know what you mean... 31 here.

  • mp3 please

  • @relsismada vidtomp3(dot)com

  • I like the singing in the verses better in the album version, but the rest of this is so much more epic compared to the album. It's gotta be the powerful drums mixed with distorted guitar and loud vocals that still give off that depressing feeling. Yeah, that's probably it.

  • IS this on a album?

  • Better than album version.. period.

  • that's...is .fuckin...great...forever

  • love 1:41 photo.....

  • Hey I Subscribed Can You Return The Fav? And Maby Listen to My Cover Of "Something In The Way" Id Love Feedback From Fans Of Nirvana Rather Than People Who Dont Appreciate The Music or Understand It.

  • i love the chorus you can really hear the feed back from the guitar

  • down right awesome the drums are just pounding with the over-distorted guitar

  • i swear the first line in this he says 'underneath the fridge' XD

  • @TerminalBoredom : I'm pretty sure you're right. I don't think there was a single nirvana song that was played the same way twice.

  • @TerminalBoredom He did

  • @TerminalBoredom Underneath the "bridge"

  • guitar in chorus is amazingly effective , sounds like heavy wind or something :P

  • sounds much more better than the acustic version

  • this is amazing i hadnt heard an electric version before ... wait is it electric in nevermind? well it doesnt sound like this

  • @lithiumissick42 Nope. Nevermind was on a 5 string acoustic...

  • surprizingly i like this version a lot more, even after kurt's death he keep wowing me

  • one of the greatest!

  • @Heiko813 but not in the remix :-(

  • yeah same here. This song takes me (and many with me) back to the deepest sorrows in the soul

  • This version isn't an session for BBC. this version was played at

Kokusai Koryu Center, Osaka, JP in 02/14/1992

  • where did you get this and how can i download it

  • @riotgrrl67 gget dvd soft then u can download it

  • I like it, but how can it be a demo if this is after Nevermind was released?

  • @FlipperBabies470 It's not a demo, it's a BBC radio performance. Title is wrong.

  • never heard this version, cool!

  • best 4 sure

  • cooool it's not unplogged

  • Laugh hard at the absurdly evil... that is just fucking cool

  • every time i listen to this song i just laugh, it remembers me of my english techer who says somessing xD

  • the best version !!

  • i love this and the original

    mmmm hmmmmm

  • the song sounds so epic this way

  • its on witht the lights out? i looked everywhere on there for it :(

  • - Kurt Cobain*

    We Miss You *.*

  • boo hoo hoo

  • Truly excellent

  • ♫ Something In The Way ♫

  • i've looked all over limewire and itunes for this demo. FUCK i cant find it anywhere. anyone been able to find it for download?

  • just buy "with the lights out"

  • not on there

  • It's not on there.

  • download dvdvideosoft free studio.. then free youtube to mp3 converter ;)

  • Get vDownloader then just get the audio off of this video.

  • lovin the catoclysmic crash of the drums simply genius

  • ooooh exelent music!

  • i feel the same raw emotion from both versions

  • i like the electric version. there was nothing nirvana about nirvana unfortunately, good nonetheless

  • kurt cobain in that photo used for the thumbnail.. looks like jesus..

i mean seriously.. he has the face that could pull off globally acceptable.

  • not in this one but he can sometimes. but dude lol, kurt IS jesus lol

    no... he's jesus's jesus! :D

  • Why would you compare him to a man that kills good people ;(

  • @heartshapedflower When did Jesus killed anyone?

  • It is Kurt Cobain, but it doesnt sound like him. If you know what I mean.

  • it does sound like alot of other things hes done lol

  • pic at 1:55 is my favorite of them

  • for some reason when i hear this song and knowing the Kurt was a beatles fan i can help but sing

something in the way, she moves

    great song none the less

  • acoustic has more power emotionally in the singing and sadness of it, but the guitar during the chorus is amazing! it sounds like painful wails!

  • better than nevermind I had trouble hearing it there

  • BOth versions are really good to me, i always hear this song in my head when im sad or completely depressed

  • same

  • @fwefwfw yeah dude me too...it's such a powerfull song..

  • i agree!!!

  • yeah. ive been there man. hopefully youll be ok though.

  • i totally get what you mean man...this is something you would hear in your head if you were totally sad/depressed/suicidal

  • Nirvanaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • i rekn th version in nevermind is better guitar for th intro

  • eric clapton called, says he misses his idiot fan... u....Sikjacksains

this song is great, specially this version...

like sifftings, and that one in incesticide...,mmmmmm... big long now...

  • lol i agree, i just prefer the way the guitar in th nevermind version is played,if it was electric itd sound mad

  • I really like this version, it expresses sorrow just as well as the other version.

  • anyone think this version sounds alot like black sabbath in the style of it?

  • This version of the song is better than the one on the "Nevermind" album.

  • @jayyshep no.

  • i love this version,

special when he start something in the way.omg too beautiful

  • so beautiful

  • why do i hear two voices at 0:15?

  • @mmb101 ever heard of "harmonies"?

  • This is not a demo since its after Nevermind was released, but nitpicking aside, i like this one alot more than the nevermind

feedback in the chrous adds so much to this song

  • both are great.this vid is about nirvana and that is it.this is a pure, raw nirvana song and thats why nobody else should be talked about

  • im not tryin to control.this is an amazing, emotional song by nirvana so why ruin it by talking bout another band

  • yup lol pantera are a fuckin badass band.but this is a nirvana vid so can we all stfu bout pantera

  • the first words sound like hes saying under neath the fridge i love his hard to understand singing style R.I.P kurt cobain you will always be remembered v.v

  • You gotta be a retard if you think this was recorded in the bleach session.

  • who said that its a Bleach session? The album sleeve(Ghost of seattle) says 1990, but i've seen it on nirvanaliveguide, but im to lazy to change... i'll do it soon

  • changed it

  • do you mean actually bleach recording or around that time frame?

  • Both. This song wasnt written back in 89

  • agreed probably late 90 early 91

  • Exactly.

  • i like this version...i think they should of re recorded it for nevermind

  • i dont think it has the eeriness (however thats spelt) compared to the original. its too loud. which is what kurt knew.

  • true i think both versions are very eerie as fuck the screeching on the course of this song makes it sound amazing

  • This was actually recorded in 91 in england.

  • i know:p

  • this reminds me somewhat of the velvet underground

  • I think it'd be perfect if they took the chorus of this version and used the verse from the Nevermind version.

  • yeaah i get you, would sound pretty cool

  • this is pure grunge

  • where could i get this version....i got everything i could find on limewire.

  • Search on Sound of Dentage, a site. Google it

  • look for video/audio splitter software, download the video, bam

  • on either one of the 5 Outcesticide's or With The Lights out, can't remember cuz I'm not at home but by memory more likely to be on one of the Outcesticides.

  • They played it that when I saw them live in Montreal in 1991

  • lucky sun of a bitch

  • what cd ?

  • The Ghost of Seattle, or So rare, even the bootlegs are Jealous

  • This is a really cool version. I like the noise in the chorus a lot.

  • or November 13th, 91

  • This was from the Mark Goodier sessions, May-June 1991.

  • hahah same :(.

  • like pantera then.

  • the best version

  • Cool Version i like it ..

  • No it isn't you who have to say sorry, its me, i didnt mean to be ... such a loser XD the sleeve said it, but its not a real cd, and i know it thats its a peel session but i dont know how to change it O.O

  • IM STUCK in the same spot.. the same little dot on this earth where me as a guitarist has to find a drummer and bassist in a 28k city.. full of stereotypes that wanna play metal (no melody and emotion really but anger ) and I end up beatboxing while playing guitar..
