  • How rare is Mountain Dew over there?

I know you can buy it in Akihabara but how often can you buy it elsewhere?

  • I can get Mountain Dew from a few different vending machines here in Matsue, a rural city in Japan. They even have some giant cans of it. :)

  • there seems to be a rural love affair with The Dew and Dr. Pepper. You don't see those two kinds of soda in the city very often!

  • you can even get diet dr. pepper here in nagoya.

  • ha ha ha :)

  • When I was in Tokyo for a high school exchange program most vending machines had Dr. Pepper. I'll be living in Kyoto for a academic year starting in fall, I hope it's not hard to find like you say! =3

  • It was fate! Haha.

  • I go to University in Kyoto and I haven't seen any dr. pepper yet but I've heard from friends you can buy dr. pepper. Near my school there is a shop that sells root beer! Have you seen any root beer yet? I was surprised they sell root beer because my Japanese friends tell me that root beer tastes like medicine to them.

  • MMMM my favorite soda.

  • it's soooooo good

  • Dr. Pepper, I love. But if they don't have Root Beer, then...well i don't know what I'd do. I can't live w/o root beer. :[

  • I found A&W root beer in a store in Kobe a few days ago!

  • thank god...cuz i'd cry if they didn't. :P

  • I totally don't like Dr Pepper :O (but that place is awesome, woot, i should put that on my "to visit" list)

  • the place was amazing.

I posted some pictures of it on my blog...

  • If I had'nt read the info box, I would have thought you were talking about a person. XD

  • hehe

  • I'm happy for you Kevin. I know exactly how you felt. I was thinking Teacher Jason (Myargonauts) likes Dr. Pepper too and there he had posted a video response, ha ha.

I'm proud of Mr. Pepper, he went on to get his Doctorate degree. My favorite soda maker is hid-out on top of a mountain collecting sugar-free dew.

  • do the Dew!

  • I love Dr.Pepper, too! I just bought it because of this video:)

When I was Kid I always drank Moutain dew. Now it's kinda difficult to find them around here. If I can find the vending machine selling Mountain dew, I will defenitely buy them! !

  • Cool! Sorry for causing you to head outside and spend money! Hope you enjoyed it!

  • Eh, I've never got use to the taste of Dr. Pepper... I prefer Pepsi or Coca cola.

  • I love the stuff...

  • lol I'm crying! :)))

  • i know....it was touching!

  • awe..Dr. Pepper.......

  • A true joy the Dr. always there for you.

    It calls you!:)

  • The Dr. is more special than words can say!

  • Lol. Burning acids of pepper.

    Funny video.

  • the ulcers are calling my name right now!

  • What a truly touching story of reunion...

    ;-p

  • It was indeed....i love good drama!

  • haha, you are ridiculous

  • I try!

  • it just hit me. you look like ben stiller.

  • Well...I'll be damned. Your right. lol

  • Cool...I'll take that as a good thing!

  • I know this has hardly anything to do with the video... But I am reading about the Asuka period (around Shotoku Taishi's time). Educational manga is a great way to improve your Japanese and knowledge of history! Anyway sorry for the irrelevant post. I loved seeing the duckies at the aviary in your previous vid, btw xD

  • It was an interesting place. I went to lots of historical sights, but took little video.

  • Dr.Pepper is probably one of my favorite types of pop.

I think it's funny that they have such nice well-stocked vending machines in a place like that. They seem almost out of place, but at the same time I am wondering why we don't have stuff like that here in Canada.

Was that a really big can? Maybe you just have small hands :)

  • regular can.....

    small hands.....

    :(

  • Cool. I've noticed Dr Pepper in 2 machines in Tokyo. I've never found Diet Dr Pepper, though. (I'm guessing aspartame isn't sold in Japan.)

  • not sure....Coke Zero is popular here

  • Yummm Dr.Pepper! I used to be addicted to this stuff. But I drank so much I got sick of it. I prefer rootbeer now.

  • lol I did the same thing but in reverse. When I was younger I drank root beer all the time and now I won't drink it at all.

  • who knew they had Dr Pepper in Canada or Korea? (whichever one you saw it in xD) I thought it was only in the states

  • we have it in Canada. ^_^ Though it was a bit hard to find before...only some places like Costco sold it (well, at least in Quebec). Now you can find it in any grocery store. But we rarely have it in fast food restaurants though. It's usually replaced by rootbeer.

  • :o costco in canada also? geez i guess i should expect alot of things in the states to be in canada lol xD i have a habit of thinking almost everything i see in california, is only in california

  • yep...Costco is everywhere....Canada, Japan....even in Korea!

  • Dr. Pepper is quite prevelent in convience stores and like pizza places and stuff here in Nova Scotia. You never see it in the fountain machines at fast food places though, unfortunatley.

  • Ah...pizza in Nova Scotia ....miss that! In Sydney...Napoli pizza rocked...in Halifax...i was a KOD Plus fan :)

  • Yea I live right outside of Halifax. donairs here are DOPE.

There used to be this Lebanese family that had a pizza place right near me and they made the BEST donair pizza. This comment is making me hungry. haha

  • true dat....wasn't easy to find ten years ago....now all over the place.

  • Really popular in Canada....for sure :)

  • what a touching story! I'm crying but dunno why! lol how does it taste like!?

  • sort of like Cherry Coke....sort of

  • hahaha dr. pepper rocks! T.G.F.D.P! (thank god for dr. pepper)
