When I was in Tokyo for a high school exchange program most vending machines had Dr. Pepper. I'll be living in Kyoto for a academic year starting in fall, I hope it's not hard to find like you say! =3
I go to University in Kyoto and I haven't seen any dr. pepper yet but I've heard from friends you can buy dr. pepper. Near my school there is a shop that sells root beer! Have you seen any root beer yet? I was surprised they sell root beer because my Japanese friends tell me that root beer tastes like medicine to them.
I'm happy for you Kevin. I know exactly how you felt. I was thinking Teacher Jason (Myargonauts) likes Dr. Pepper too and there he had posted a video response, ha ha.
I'm proud of Mr. Pepper, he went on to get his Doctorate degree. My favorite soda maker is hid-out on top of a mountain collecting sugar-free dew.
I love Dr.Pepper, too! I just bought it because of this video:)
When I was Kid I always drank Moutain dew. Now it's kinda difficult to find them around here. If I can find the vending machine selling Mountain dew, I will defenitely buy them! !
I know this has hardly anything to do with the video... But I am reading about the Asuka period (around Shotoku Taishi's time). Educational manga is a great way to improve your Japanese and knowledge of history! Anyway sorry for the irrelevant post. I loved seeing the duckies at the aviary in your previous vid, btw xD
Dr.Pepper is probably one of my favorite types of pop.
I think it's funny that they have such nice well-stocked vending machines in a place like that. They seem almost out of place, but at the same time I am wondering why we don't have stuff like that here in Canada.
Was that a really big can? Maybe you just have small hands :)
we have it in Canada. ^_^ Though it was a bit hard to find before...only some places like Costco sold it (well, at least in Quebec). Now you can find it in any grocery store. But we rarely have it in fast food restaurants though. It's usually replaced by rootbeer.
:o costco in canada also? geez i guess i should expect alot of things in the states to be in canada lol xD i have a habit of thinking almost everything i see in california, is only in california
Dr. Pepper is quite prevelent in convience stores and like pizza places and stuff here in Nova Scotia. You never see it in the fountain machines at fast food places though, unfortunatley.
Yea I live right outside of Halifax. donairs here are DOPE.
There used to be this Lebanese family that had a pizza place right near me and they made the BEST donair pizza. This comment is making me hungry. haha
How rare is Mountain Dew over there?
I know you can buy it in Akihabara but how often can you buy it elsewhere?

I can get Mountain Dew from a few different vending machines here in Matsue, a rural city in Japan. They even have some giant cans of it. :)
PadawanKim 2 years ago
there seems to be a rural love affair with The Dew and Dr. Pepper. You don't see those two kinds of soda in the city very often!

you can even get diet dr. pepper here in nagoya.

Cool. I've noticed Dr Pepper in 2 machines in Tokyo. I've never found Diet Dr Pepper, though. (I'm guessing aspartame isn't sold in Japan.)

Yummm Dr.Pepper! I used to be addicted to this stuff. But I drank so much I got sick of it. I prefer rootbeer now.
