Manufacturing, Mining, Cars, Motorbikes - all we have now is apartments & shopping.
I have an old photo of my dad holding 1 of us lot when we were babies & with it being Salford you can see all the chimneys in Manchester city centre from the factories. If you stand in the same spot now there isn't 1 left - Just apartments & shopping malls.
Memories of when I use to visit Salford Docks on the Loch boats.

@davedenisetigg At least it's being used again. It lay unused and decrepit for decades.

Very interesting for me as I live in Stretford and cycle through the quays every day going to work. Where did you get the old photos from ?
