I just put a woodstove in my uninsulated dirt floor garage now that it's getting REALLY cold here in northern Maine and even though it isn't insulated, it keeps my garage at about 55 when it's around 5 below outside. I don't think that's too bad at all! (And it's better for workin on my sleds!)
