The camera is great! Yes, I have it. I don't recommend the video though. The frame rate is choppy and the sounds isn't that good.

I got this camera this Saturday for $75.50 @ Staples. On Amazon, the retail price is listed at $179.99 and the prices on the site range from $127.32-$172.09. And apparently it has good reviews overall. I hope I like this.

actually, there IS a speaker ON the camera. which means you CAN also listen to videos. I have owned this camera for couple of weeks. so far, its pretty good.

I believe you have to format your memory card before you start taking photos... and if that doesn't do anything it's probably your memory card that has the problem

My husband and I got this camera for Christmas and are having trouble. These comments tell me that it's easy, so what's wrong with us?

We recently used this camera at a wedding, and every single picture (maybe 50 shots) was blurry. So where can I find directions for getting sharp pictures quickly and easily without having to make loads of adjustments? Cameras are supposed to automatically adjust if you want, right?

when you take a photo, don't move it right after the flash, hold it there for a good second or so...see if that helps

Yes they are supposed too... you should probably try switching the camera setting to automatic and it should fix the problem

Those were great pictures. I have this camera, just opened it today. I hope I like it. I wanted to buy the Panasonic Lumix TZ5 but, it was somewhat big. I wanted a small camera for my purse. This fit the bill.

I bought this camera in silver... AWESOME CAMERA!!!

To clairify... to be able to use the panoramic feature, 30fps vid, and a few other features you HAVE to use the XD card, not he micro SD... one of the small things in the fine print.

The 30fps mode DRAINS your batteries like mad crazy... but if youre only using the pict modes, then you shouldnt have an issue with battery life

Quality is MAD AWESOME!!! a TON better then the Sony Cybershot, Panasonic Lumix, or Nikon Coolpix. I love it.

Comparison vs Canon SD1100 IS

It has 5X vs just 3X on the Canon.

Aluminum bady vs Canon plastic.

Nice port door vs the relatively crappy Cannon plastic cover with rubber hinge.

Its got a 2.7" screen vs Canon 2.5"

The drawbacks? It has a tiny amount less image quality than the Canon. Tiny bit more complicated to use. It has no manual viewfinder for super bright settings or when you want to save battery life. The XD card is more expensive and lower capacity than an SD card and some features are disabled if you use the micro SD converter. The spare batteries are also not as easy to find. Lots of 900-1200 mah generics for under $10 for a Canon. Fewer and more expensive batteries for the Olympus.

The dual image stabilisation is not as good as the single optical stabiliser on the Canon. Olympus uses a floating sensor on to reduce vibrations and an additional electronic image stabilisation to reduce blur after the photo is taken. Canon's single is actually a little better than the combo Olympus.

In the end I got the Canon for the cheap cards and batteries (Best Buy is giving a 4MB SD card away with the 1100SD if yo ubuy online right now and nothing free with the Olympus), the ability to have a manual view through the camera, and slightly simpler operation... the smile feature works but I think I am smart enough to press a button when I see someone smile. Its a gimick feature. Plus the Canon has marginally better photo quality.
