  • Would have been great if you explained a little what's going on with the MIDI switching and how to set it up and use it... now it's just a rather pointless sound demo and we see you stepping on a button and that's it.

  • i see you have an axe fx aswell I am tempted by one but dont wanna loose my vh4

  • Is it possable to get tabs for the first clean riff you played ?

  • nice playing i got a columbus to

  • VH4 = A+

  • Is that weird sound at 1:31 from switching to the bridge pickup? Sounds like an auto wah or strange mid shift.

  • @cordanscedo : Yes, thats switching to the bridge and un-splitting the bridge, also YT compression increases the "weirdness".

  • @diezelgermany Ah, I see. Awesome demo by the way! Sounds great.:)

  • Hey diezel germany if you use the vh4's powersection with the axe fx as a preamp and use the vh4 model of the axe fx how accurate is the sound?

  • Very nice! What do you think of the Haussel P90?

  • This sounds deadly! Love it!

  • Hi

das ist einfach und sehr vernünftig, funktioniert das auch so mit dem HERBERT?

    Gruss und Dank Jürg

(ebay sei Dank, seit kurzem glücklicher Herbert Besitzer).

  • This is just what i imagined my rig would be.. So reliable, even your granmom could keep an eye to this, great amp!

  • Anyone know what type of Gibson that is i thought it was a historic model but i might be wrong?

  • In the background? Thats an Orville LPS RI. Gibson's Made In Japan model from the 90s.

  • Great overdrive tone!

  • Thanks.

To answer some of the questions here:

The guitar is a Schecter C1 Special Prototype, originally came with 2xP90s, I've replaced both, neck is a Häussel P90s, Bridge is a BBQ Babybucker (which fits into the P90s cavity).

Microphones are a Shure SM57 and a Superlux soandso (generic) into a Mackie thru Firewire into Quicktime on a Mac.

The VH4 does not come with a Footswitch, any midi pedal will work though. I myself prefer those who run off phantom power like Rolls, Nobels, Diezel.

  • @diezelgermany hi does the columbus need a power adapter if connecting to a vh4 head or do you just need to use the midi cord from amp to the columbus footswitch

  • @diezelgermany i have carvin v3 and rolls midibuddy mp128, how do i use phantom power for it? i use my pedal gate as a supply for my board... is there another way to run this without a power supply??? please help!

  • nice clean recording, what equipment did you use to record this? ie. what mics?

  • :0 THAT GUITAR IS GODLY . i love p90's man + schecter c-1 is a sick shape .

  • What kind of guitar are you using?

  • a really nice Shecter, a C-1 maybe

  • That guy looks like Flemming Rasmussen.

  • does the head come with a footswitch ?

  • in my opinion diezel amps are the best of course there are some boutic amps which might be better but they're also more expensive

the clean channel of every diezel is good for anything jazz blues funk whatever

and the distortion channels also kick ass

    forget every marshall diezel ftw

  • Nice tone! Always wanted a Diezel VH4. Can it be used in a standard jazz setting.

  • Sounds beautiful, anyone know what the range of pricing is on Diezel? I haven't found any dealers anywhere, that is if there are any dealers.

  • diezel are one of the most expensive amp brands in the world(also one of the best, lol)

but they are around the 2.5k/3k (euro's!)

    for a head only

but its a 180 watt and it will last you a lifetime

  • That's what I would have expected to pay, I just wasn't quite sure, thanks.

Also do you know of any dealers?

  • Dude - if you still want one and you live in Europe I have one which is practically new (with El34s and a case) and I am ready to sell it. Just post me if you are interested.

  • they are about 4500 or 5000 USD $ only the head, i want a vh4 so bad :(

  • you have to trade them your soul

  • Haha, that's great lol. As far as "The Megashaft"'s comment, I live in the US. I'm not looking to buy right now anyway, just looking for the price, so I can buy in the future ya know?

  • yeah absolutely. I mean im 21 with a shitty job. 4k isn't exactly chump change for me...

  • maybe it won't be enough lol

  • where can I get this amp? I'm from Malaysia anyway. Thank you.

  • Diezel is the Holy Grail of ToNe! great video.

  • Thank God, someone finally knows how to mic a cabinet and made a great demo. Everyone else needs to look at his mic setup and learn something. Great Demo!

  • I want to have a VH4, the best amp ever, but i dont have money... thats the best amp for shredding

  • Chinese STR EL34s. Since I'm playing at room level, the master is up (10 o'clock) and the channel vols are dimed. Gain full in channel 2, bright on, bass a bit dimed, middle and treble noon, presence full, depth noon.

    Thanks.

  • very cool. what kind of tubes, and what are. your settings in channel 2
