Hi John, as for the presets I use them by an acoustic sound (VariaxJumbo). The electric sounds are custom adjusted. I simply turn the knobs as long as I am happy with the sound :-) As for the guitar it is set on Strat (or Tele in the 1st case) model on the Variax switch. Thanks for visiting. Mike

Great performance - When you use the Variax live with POD-XT do you any way to have the acoustic sound go to the PA and the regular guitar sounds to the guitar amp? If so how. I have the same guitar with POD-XT Live and haven't been able to do this.

Yes this goes directly to the recorder. Normally I use Mesa 20/20 for power grade but not for emulating acoustic guitar.

Well, Axe is the best on the market (my personal opinion of course) as for amp models, but for acoustic guitar modeling I find the L6 combination guitar-modeling processor the only reasonable solution I discovered till now.

Yes, I mostly combine normal picking, pick+fingers and fingers only. Depends on the tone you want to get out of the string and how fast you want to play.

Thank you for your music. How long of a network cable are you using for the line 6 connection? I would be concerned about being constricted by the length. The Line 6 has the most realistic acoustic I have ever heard.Better than the Boss AC3 Im using.

Hi, thanks for visiting. I use an original Line 6 which is something about 6 m and has aluminium covers of the plugs. For computer editing I use normal 3 m computer cable. I think L6 solution is the easiest way how to get more/less acoustic tone from electric guitar.
